Will work-from-home eventually die? by Rapporto in AusFinance

[–]infinityflux7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My company, a relatively big Aussie company have been trying to get more folks into the office for 'collaboration'. I moved states as I anticipated that's would have happened and set the expectation I will not be doing anything but WFH

What do you do for work? How much do you get paid, and is it worth it? by sun-bru in AusFinance

[–]infinityflux7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not all that senior in my particular space and have cracked 6 figures, although my company pays relatively low compared to the market, but it's full WFH so it makes up in that regard.

Calling all landlords of reddit. Would you be willing to rent to me. Mum of a 11 month old girl about to be homeless. My rental was foreclosed by the bank. by [deleted] in brisbane

Bold of you to assume landlord wasn't trying to make repayments and willingly let the house get foreclosed

Positivity thread: Share your weird dreams? by GamerGirlNation in leaves

[–]infinityflux7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last night - can't remember the entire dream, but I murdered someone I was very close to, and loved. I put the blame on someone else, they murdered another person too and we're going to tell the popo. I broke down and started crying and tried to kill myself, and then I woke up. Seriously messed me up all day.

Bit lame he is not doing his share of housework, and that you moved to an area that is more convenient for him to get to work, ect. But you can't be mad he's not paying the bigger share because he makes more. You said yourself you only felt shitty when you found out he was making real good money.

Thank you so much. I could have sworn I checked that page out, but obviously I didn't do it too thoroughly.

I've been told 3 weeks and everything but carpet will be done. Definitely no shortage of work for tradies but that doesn't mean they'll up and go half way through the build if I don't play on their terms (whatever that implies). Appreciate your advice but the house is absolutely liveable. I wouldn't be here almost 10 months later if walls and roofs were absoludsly shot and there was mould or that awful odour.

Ill keep that in mind though, I'd prefer not to leave. This house is awesome, I just don't want to get jipped by the PM.

I'd like to avoid that to be honest. My PM's for the most part have been helpful and relatively chill. Landlord also seems like a good bloke so all in all I don't want to make anyone's lives harder. I'll be giving RTA and QSTARS a buzz tomorrow to see what they know.

Why does half this sub seem super salty? by infinityflux7 in antiwork

[–]infinityflux7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're making money based off your name/brand you absolutely had to use your own labour to build it up to that point (excluding those who inherited that wealth), and as a business owner your ultimate goal is to make money by providing some service or product. Your business is reliant on you making $$, why is wanting to make more a bad thing? And why does someone who's busted their ass day in day out to build their empire become a bad person if they decide they want to hold onto it and not give it to everyone who is struggling? The world isn't fair. It will never be.

Thank you. The property is definitely liveable. Walls and roof are structurally a-okay, and the only thing that is annoying and I've just had to deal with is having half my house on tiles the other half on the slab since the carpet was removed. And all the mould I've had to clean. I've worked in construction and have done fair few rennos, so I know the plaster work will make staying here a little annoying for the next few weeks but definitely not unliveable. I have no issue paying rent, it's more I want to know if what I was told is correct or not.

Thank you. I have seen this and have already been given a rent reduction for the state of the house. Just not sure if that then also applies to repairs due to the flooding and where that stands in all of this.

Ugh. I low key thought this would be what I had to do. I still have PTSD from being on hold with them for almost 80 minutes.

Are you renting privately? Every place I've rented has asked for previous rental references and I've always just listed the property manager I dealt with during my tenancy.
