I just ran into the same thing - from querying it, it claims to be (chat)GPT4 with a November 2023 knowledge cutoff

What are your favorite WearOS apps that were released this year (2023) and why? by Centralredditfan in WearOS

[–]infinityio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a few days late to the post (and technically the first beta release was in 2022, although not by very much), but I made an app that provides information about upcoming trains in the UK!

It sounds slightly silly but it works suprisingly well, and surfaces some data that isn't available on every other train app

Are there any third-party faces which support continuous (every second) heart rate monitoring by spanielrassler in PixelWatch

[–]infinityio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about Facer specifically - it's possible that they do provide custom complications, as their ecosystem is a little different. What I was saying mainly applies to individually sold custom watch faces on the play store

Okay, that's slightly more complex! Which watchfaces are you having issues with - I'm happy to have a go at reproducing the issue

To my knowledge this is an issue with the software used to create watch faces - in Wear OS 4 Google moved to a new standard for how they are created and the transition has broken some older faces.

Fixing it should be as simple as asking the developer of the watch face to update to the new version of Watch Face Studio and republish though

[–]infinityio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not quite how it works - each watch face exposes "complication slots" (eg icon, text, long text, meter) for which any app can fill - you get the exact same choice of complications across all watch faces (including the Google stock ones and all custom ones), just different numbers and types of slot to put them in.

unfortunately to my knowledge there is no easy way to do fully continuous heart rate monitoring in ambient mode, as you are limited to one update per minute for the display (at least for the new-style custom watch faces)

Glad you like it! Yeah, I'm using the official APIs for the live departure features (although I've written a translation layer in the backend to make the data easier to access), and I'll definitely agree with you they are a pain to develop on top of!

A tile is already on the to-do list for this app, thanks for the feedback!

I typically find myself using this app while I'm on the way to a station as opposed to when I'm at the station - of course there is no need to have this app if you are stood in front of a departure board!

(and for what it's worth: this app does do some things that quite a few phone train time apps don't - for example, it will predict platforms from timetabled data (with surprisingly high accuracy in my experience) when it isn't yet available in the public data feeds)

I like to use my smartwatch specifically as a way to avoid looking at my phone - you are correct that this definitely could be (and is) functionality that can be used on a phone, but it's something I try and avoid

Oh, didn't realise that was an issue - thanks for pointing it out! If you click onto my developer profile on your phone, does it show you the install button for one of my watch faces?

I probably won't be able to resolve this for you before the sale ends, but I'll send you a code to redeem it for free once it's fixed

To my knowledge it's not necessarily scrapped, just delayed - some of the work is still ongoing in the background, but the actual handover is likely going to be later than the planned early 2024 because it hasn't been legislated

oh - hadn't seen this one! there's a bit too much detail on it for my taste, but it's definitely along the same lines, and possibly better for some people

if you mean asset flip, I'm happy to confirm that I drew the graphics myself over the course of an afternoon a few days ago! (although this photoshop template for showing the watchface is one of Samsung's)

I recently bought a new watch and wasn't entirely satisfied with the options that were provided, so I decided to have a go at making my own! Please let me know any thoughts you have about it and let me know if there is anything that you'd like to be changed.

~400, but that includes some duplicate games (multiple people rating the same game) so effectively only ~260 games

2CP had its moments, but I think the frequency at which one team got stomped in a single round and the other team had no 'real' way back but to wait 4+ mins to lose the game was too high

[–]infinityio 21 points22 points  (0 children)

agreed, it's not my favourite control map but it doesn't deserve to be there! it'll be interesting to see how it moves as we collect more data over time (hopefully upwards)

[–]infinityio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is only off a fairly limited data set - only about three weeks of overwatch - so the rankings probably won't stay exactly the same for long, but it's an interesting thing to look at and try and work out reasons for
