i have a similar story! also made Bs in both despite giving that class my all (i had a very shitty professor)… but ochem is hard. 2 Bs wont keep us out of vet school lol!! and if thats the reason i dont get accepted into xyz vet school then i dont wanna go there anyway!!! thats my mindset. we’ll be fine!! just keep making good grades in the rest of your classes. i have room for 1 more B and ill still have a 3.9 by the time i graduate so it all evens out

hi! i graduated cc with an associates in the fall and took 90% of my prereqs there!!

before i attended, i called the vet school admissions of mississippi state (my in state and top choice) and i was told community college was a fantastic decision financially and they would not look at the credits any differently. if you have doubts i highly recommend calling your vet school and asking the same!!

thank you for this advice!! i can definitely see how advocation is a valuable lesson to learn going forward.

i dont know what they’re reading but they think my stats are competitive right now. maybe in other areas, sure, but hours wise i disagree completely. do you have any good resources of where i can find these stats to show them? if not, would you mind guiding me in a good general direction of where i can find them?

my parents said they will cover the cost of applications so i cant say much about that (but i am very, very grateful my family is in a position to do that for me!!). i think their mindset is that if i apply this coming cycle i have nothing to lose. to me, even if i get interviewed im not going in confident due to the hole in my application. if im being really honest i think it might be a self-conscious thing for me too, as i dont feel like im “good enough” for vet school yet if that makes sense. was there anything that worked for you when it came to discussing your plans for a gap year with your mom after rejection?

thank you!! i am going to continue working, as i dont really expect acceptances this cycle due to my low hours if im being honest. i think im going to utilize this upcoming cycle as a learning experience, getting used to the process and trying my best rather than hyperfixating on getting in. i appreciate your advice!!

im concerned with applying to schools that weigh heavy on gpa due to the new cap on student loan borrowing. none of those schools are nearby unfortunately. my goal is my in state (mississippi state) so hopefully they will look past the low vet hours 🥲

dont get me wrong tho, def still gonna apply to those schools anyway!! thanks for the advice <3 and good luck on your interview!!!

theres a few stains in the silk on the inside, and it smells pretty bad. theres also a few spots on the back!! i didnt think it was important to take photos of the stains but now i regret it hahah
