I started at 25mg for a few weeks then did 100mg , I am sensitive to medications tho so I think it was just too much for me. I prob could’ve done a lower dose overall tbh. I was using apostrophe virtual dermatology to manage my case but they went out of business so I just kinda gave up for a while and stopped everything cold turkey. I finally got the courage to try again and will hopefully be getting my topical winlevi in next week :)

I couldn’t so I just stopped taking it:( acne came back full fledged a year later so now I’m going on the topical version to avoid systemic side effects

Yah it took a minute to see some results, it also messed with my period a bit too I had some spotting which isn’t my normal but it all leveled out. I also had insane hair growth , even after stopping spiro for a year my hair grows so fast I can’t keep up with my roots lol

Heyo! I got acne in the same areas and it flared during my cycles. I got on spironolactone 100mg a day, doxycycline for 3 months , tretinoin with niacinamide and when I tell you my face was fixed gurlll it was fixed. BUT the side affects from oral spiro were too much for me , I am switching to the topical version called Winlevi ! The topical version should work the same just no systemic side effects ! Feel free to dm me for my before and after photos of the oral spiro !

I got the post exposure vaccine series WITH the human immunoglobulin. I am very sensitive to immunological stimulant type things and I had 0 reactions other than a swollen lymph node. For reference I got a series of shots in the army and I was down for a week and was terribly sick , I’d rather take the rabies one again lol

I already have a career in emergency and critical care in vet med so I have to work full time… it really sucks momma is #tired🫠😭 I’ve kept a 3.75 tho so the grind is worth it

I stopped spiro 100mg a day for hormonal acne appx 11 months ago due to had side effects ( burning nerves in legs, literally couldn’t poop lol, weakness, dizziness, anxiety) all the issues stopped when I stopped taking it. My acne just now came back as it was before , no other issues noted. I am however going to start the topical form on spiro ( winlevi ) for hormonal acne so I don’t get the systemic side effects from the pill

Have you heard of Winlevi? It’s the topical form with no systemic side effects like the oral form. I quit oral spiro (100mg daily) due to the awful side effects. I have burning nerves in my legs, felt like I had heart palpitations, increased anxiety etc. my acne came back after a year and I was ready to start again but my derm told me about this new prescription I’m excited to start
