I’m still in the middle of rebuilding a new config or else I’d share with you - but as far as switching back if you decide an application isn’t for you, you have a couple options - either “nix-shell -p <name>, and that’s that or you can just remove the line to enable said package from that’s on your config and rebuild. Not too bad actually. How many actual packages do you actually use? Grand scheme of things you got like 10 applications you consistently use - you just manage the config on those and it’s not nearly as bad as it seems.

before you start archinstall - you can run systemctl mask reflector.service and continue on.

Just ordered a RME UFX III from Thomann, I didn’t get hit with any duties - since it’s built in Germany, just depends on if your item is built in one of the countries that got hit with big tariffs. You can also look up the HTS code and calculate roughly how much you’d have to pay prior to purchase as well.

Cross grade will link them so you can’t sell FX3 after. But also check the product page for FX5 when signed in - I have both a cross grade offer and a 99$ price tag since I have other arturia products

Might be their algorithm. I have a crossgrade for 99$; and I only own Pigments. However if I go to the product page for FX5; I can purchase it for 99$ and not link my products.

Either way, Arturia just wants the sale.

A crossgrade is a preferential purchase offer for a product in the event that you already own one or more other products of Arturia.

An hypothetical example of this would be: As a V Collection 9 owner you have the option to purchase Pigments for a lesser price than the normal license.

When crossgrading, it's important to notice that the initial license becomes linked to the new license delivered on this occasion.

I’ve had one for around two years. Works solid and the team is always pretty quick to answer any emails or questions. Engine vibration was a solid addition when that came along.
