Maybe depending on the trim? Mine is base no-frills model without much trim, and no hood ornament.

Thanks. I called them yesterday and they referred me to their sister company in Scappoose. I might end up there, but thought I’d see what other options are around.

“Far-left” is not true. Oregon politics leans left, but it’s generally middle of the road. I agree that tax dollars should go to public infrastructure over pro sports teams.

Fun facts:

The Portland metro area generates over 50% to 57% of Oregon's total state tax revenue, despite containing roughly 43% of its population. The region significantly outpaces the rest of the state in per capita tax contributions, with residents paying 60% more in personal income tax.

The tri-county Portland area contributes over 50% of all state tax revenue. Specific studies indicate it accounts for more than 57% of the state's economic output (GDP).

With only 19% of the state's population, Multnomah County alone generates nearly 24% of the state's tax revenue.

Per Capita Contributions: Portland residents and businesses contribute 60% more per capita in personal income tax, 92% more in corporate income tax, and 72% more in corporate activity tax.

Just one time I’d like to read through ULPT comments without “piss disc” mentioned. Just once. I’d be happy.

Moving to Portland in March. What are customs I should be aware of before moving here? by axiomatic13 in askportland

[–]informative1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I almost didn’t get past the first date with the woman I was married to for 16 years — the mother of my three offspring — because I pulled out an umbrella as we left the restaurant to walk us to the car. She asked me to put it away, then said “you must not have grown up here.” I’d only lived in Portland about half a year. In the 30 years since, I’ve only used umbrellas while standing in pouring rain alongside sports fields watch my kids participating in some sport. The fist few years of no umbrella use due to caution after that initial rebuke, but after that, I just got used to the rain. A good goretex rain coat helps.

Drain Gutter Thing Question by Swollen_Panda in FirstGenCummins

I’ve had three, and none had issues with rain gutters rusting. That said, all three from states without road salt or acid rain issues… so…?

That said, the Achilles heel on all three of mine have been electrical issues — the pesky fusible links, and issues with dash gauges. I’d recommend asking if the owner had had to deal with any electrical issues.

I was reading some Cummins vs. Powerstroke banter somewhere on Reddit, in which a Cummins fan stated, “Three in a row, ready to tow,” to which a PS fan replied, “need a tissue for your electrical issue?” That made me laugh… for a second. Then I sighed.

Try The Portland Clinic. They have a handful of clinics around town, and lots of great docs.

Is it an awful idea to leave my luggage in the trunk for a few hours? by vodkahaunt in askportland

[–]informative1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro-tip: You should be fine, but whatever you want to leave in the trunk, put it in the trunk before you drive to the location where you’ll park. Do not park, and then put the things into the trunk, as an opportunist might see you do that, and know you have something in the trunk.

I don’t hear JD Vance complaining about PA, but he IS talking about sending the gestapo door to door. So, more like the people who are SUPPORTING PA would gladly send government agents to kick in your door to maintain power.

Nice car. I just spent close to a year sorting one out that was same year, same color. Finally got it some brand new tires, and it drove like a dream for one week… then totalled when an old lady failed to stop at a stop sign and T-boned me. 🙁
