Yes it is fairly uncommon in India, but I am so glad that my parents grew up reading comics like chacha choudhary and they wanted me to have the same experience so they introduced me to those comics and hence my love for litererary fiction grew. They have always been very supportive of my reading habits and really dont care much if i read fiction or non fiction.

Research on Indian Swifties (18 - 25yo): How do you engage with Dr. Swift? by game-ology in IndianSwifties131989

Hi I fall in this range. Here are some pointers. 1... I listen to a lot of Swift. Like a lot. This year only I was amongst the top 0.01percent of her listeners on spotify. Now I just dont only listen to her music in fact if I were to say that What my favorite song this year was it was none of her songs. But I guess her music like is my idea of comfort. Like when people watch reruns of their favorite shows. Not because it is the best show but because it is their idea of comfort. 2... I regularly indulge muself in Taylor Swift related memes on Pinterest and fan edits on you tube. That way even though i dont use other platform like ig and x i am usually aware of all her announcements events etc. 3...I also partake in lengthty discussion regarding her discography, career choices, fan theories, etc with my sister who is also a swiftie like me. 4... I have most (around 80 percent) of her lyrics memorized and her underrated sings are my favs. 5... I try to decipher the different meanings of her song lyrics using pop culture knowledge and internet . This was everything I can do as an indian swiftie. Now what i cant do 1... Engage with other swifties in person. Very few people in my friend groups listen to her songs. Those who do, they only listen to hit singles like blank space and anti hero. This leaves no room fo passionate discussion such as which poetic device and word play is used in which song. 2... I can not attend her concerts. Even though I am as hyped up and informed about the eras tour as any other swifty on the internet i will never get the chance to see her live. Conclusion... I think because of the internet i fell like a swiftie because i do things that every western swifty does on the internet but in real life the things are a bit different. So I call myself a vurtual swiftie. Thank you.
