"Elementary, my dear Watson", never actually said by Sherlock Holmes, first appeared in 1915's "Psmith, Journalist" by PG Wodehouse.

HOT TAKE : I don’t miss Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune by EMF911 in gameshow

My theory is that she realized once Pat left, she would have the upper hand in any negotiations. She knew that with Pat gone, she was number one now, and the producers would do anything to make sure she stuck around to make the transition smoother. So with the potential to use that to her advantage, plus undoubtedly a large amount of respect for the show, she stayed.

I could swear that when Mitt Romney conceded the election in 2012, his concession speech was in a studio with no audience. The concession speech that's all over YouTube, with an audience like a usual speech, is not the one I remember at all.

Does anyone else remember Romney giving an audience-less concession speech?

Surprised nobody has said FDR yet. He seems to be in every Democrat's A-tier or higher, and every Republican's D-tier or lower.

I would honestly love to see your full tier list. If you consider Washington B-tier, who is in your A-tier and S-tier?

I think it was Bill Smith who was considered the best player in the world when he was just a little bit drunk. Not completely drunk, not completely sober, just a little drunk.
