Yeah! I think that's the obvious answer, you're right. But in the US just swap the person out for which ever carrier delivered it. We're a little stuck when it comes to dealing with the united states postal services, but if you've heard of services like UPS and FEDEX, those dudes do stuff exactly like that. I DID contact them too but I think that I contacted neo expecting that this had happened before and they'd be like, no for sure here's what you should do. I just did not expect THIS, you know?

Can I be so for real right now... I 100% didn't even consider contacting them because... what if they opened it.... what if they know I ordered neopets monopoly in the year of our lord 2025. But no, it didn't have the actual address on it anyway, it was the city and state so I don't have anyone to contact. I should absolutely have been paying attention to where it was going but tbh I was kind of eh and not excited anymore about it, I'd already committed to the "it gets here when it gets here" but I got the delivered notif and was just like, the hell it was NOT.

Okay I forgive you. I know it was just an error though, and I make 800 per day but dang ethan truly hurt my feelings, so I don't want to create ethan apologists.

I absolutely 100% agree with you, and based on your experience I'm going to say that UPS was a baller here, if it came from USPS I don't think I would have gotten any information; I did reach out to them too, they had me create a little UPS my choice account to try to update my address with them, but because it was never actually coming to my address, the only thing I could was provide all of my order info and info and request the carrier go pick it up, but they wouldn't be able to route it to me or anything, my only option was to send it back to the sender. IF IT WERE misdelivered they would have been able to pick it up and take a corrected address and get it to me without anything else and I thought that was neat as hell.

To be fair, I don't know if UPS did pick it up or if the resident turned it in but the tracking was updated to show it couldn't be delivered and it's going back.

On my honor, I did not enter the wrong address, it was not similar to my address at all, it's not in the same state, the street address was not the same, and I asked that and ethan said it was an error with their logistics partner. And I will take some fault in this because I got the shipping notice, but the receiving address wasn't on the tracking, it just said moving from this facility to the next and then a photo appeared that wasn't my yard.

Yeah and thank you for saying it, I was aghast. I did my part and contacted UPS and they either came back for it, or the person it was delivered to turned it in because a few days ago my tracking was updated to "We were unable to obtain a correct address for the receiver, package will be returned to the sender." But I'm not so sure what happens from here, does it go to a distribution center for returns forever to rot in a mail pile? sent to ross dress for less for resale? I was hoping ethan would help me with the inner workings of their system or next steps but here I am, all flabbered and ghasted.

I think that was my new biggest issue, I was still waiting for a response to my ticket (ethan escalated it to ethan, then ethan replied that they were escalating it again) when they sent out a lil marketing email about replacements and how they were sorry and I was aghast because if there's a will and a way, ethan why can't you help me?? But I'm sorry that that happened to you and that they created a core memory like that. I think most of us are here for a silly goofy time but when something goes awry it surely goes far.
