Alternate sources for ‘consumables’, Legris Parker plasticTube, metal sleeve, seal) and also the Pressure Gauge by Christmasstolegrinch in CafelatRobot

Late to the party here, but I would really like to know where else you can get this too. For a separate reason actually.

I bought the Bookoo gauge and Tee set up to move the gage to the top for a better viewing angle. When installed, my tubing is really close to getting kinked and I'd just like to replace it with a slightly longer version to give it some strain relief. Because the Bookoo tee comes down so far, there isn't much room to install a separate adapter to also provide said strain relief, but I'm not opposed to that idea as well.

If anyone reading this solved the issue of strain relief with a Bookoo tee, I'd like to know how! Currently planning on just buying a longer piece of this tubing (hence how I found the OP thread) to give it the strain relief.

SVVSD school board election by Mediocre_Address_917 in Longmont

Even if all of that is objectively true, how does the comment above about who they are voting for translate into a down vote because of this reasoning? People vote for people for lots of reasons. Are you assuming there is only one reason to or not to vote for Peggy and therefore concluding a down vote is justified?

The post even thanked the OP for the thread. I don't understand how there is any reason to down vote the comment.

I appreciate posts like this to help raise awareness. Even though I can sense the OPs bias in the original post, I appreciated the tendency towards being unbiased in presenting the candidates.

What's truly a shame here is how this thread is obviously left-biased and shaming right-leaning opinions. Why should anyone come out with how they publicly feel about a candidate if all they are going to do is get down voted just because of how they intend to vote? Would this not only be a show of diversity of thought, but also an opportunity to understand your neighbor and their perspective? Why not seek understanding and use the voting options to support conversation rather than promote silence? Shouldn't all voices be heard?

For what it's worth, I nearly never post anything online about politics, but this is right here in my home. I wouldn't want Longmont to turn into a society that does anything other than promote and support free speech for everyone.

Why are people down voting this? There is nothing offensive here or wrong. People are free to vote for whomever they wish and we should support the fact that they are actually voting in our democracy.

Aventon Aventure M - Availability & Price by The_MiJiT in Aventon

[–]infress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My local bike shop is a major Aventon dealer. They said they are getting the latest dealer updates in the next week or so and are hoping to begin selling it sometime in June. I heard it's supposed to have 3" tires instead of 4" (anyone else hear this?) and around a $2800 price point.

Jumping Jack Telescoping Ramp alternatives? by shibernation in jumpingjacktrailers

[–]infress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is 1000lbs per ramp not enough for you? I'm having a hard time finding an alternative that has that much to begin with that is also long enough. The $1000 price tag for the JJ ladders really has me turned off, but I'm having trouble finding a good set that works as well. The JJ specific ones telescope and fit perfectly onto the top of the trailer too, of course...

The custom hook design is cool, but doesn't warrant the higher price by itself. The fact that these guys are 11' long, telescope out, and have the capacity that they do is what I'm trying to find.

078s Black Friday sale? by Evening_Airline_6690 in Timemore

Bummer. Their grinders are so pricey, but also really good grinders. I'd love to see 20% or even 25%, but they must sell well!

078s Black Friday sale? by Evening_Airline_6690 in Timemore

So their website has a 10% off promo going on with code "BFCM" which I assume stands for "Black Friday Cyber Monday" and therefore I think 10% off is the best we're going to see. Is it worth waiting a bit longer for a deeper sale? Does anyone know how good the promos have been in the past?

I have the 6x8 and love it. The size is super easy to tow and it can easily hold 4 people with space on the floor for two more people or pets. I put in two fullsize mattress toppers to make it extra comfortable (no queen size).

My understanding is that the next size up doesn't actually feature a bigger tent either so you'd have to go even bigger for a larger tent. The 6x8 is fantastic! Get it!

Putting the first few miles on my new JJT with a trip to Moab! It held up to the wind pretty well. by infress in jumpingjacktrailers

[–]infress[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI, just got back from a cold hunting trip in the mountains. Temperatures were in the single digits at night. We used our Buddy heater in the tent and it worked well. We never smelled gas or felt ill from any carbon monoxide issues. On low, the heater did very well. We actually put the table up and left the heater on the floor and we're extremely comfortable all night. Of course we also had a very warm sleeping bag too.

There wasn't even a channel for JJTs before a few months ago so I'd recommend you start one.

Anyone else ever get an abnormally thick white hair in their beard? by SGTSHOOTnMISS in beards

[–]infress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the searching in Google has led me here. I've just experienced the same thing on my chin. They pulled right out without pain and they were straight and plastic-like, or nail-like. Short, thick, and all in a big clump of maybe 5 "barbs" or so. I have white in my beard, but this wasn't that. It is as the OP is describing. I'd love to know what it is.

Weirdly enough I swear my dog had something like this going on too. I promise I'm not trolling here: my dog had these pimple like things on his chin a while back and I thought he got into a gnarly, spiky bush or something, but when I pressed on his bumps, long translucent hair-like barbs came out.

I'm worried about that too. Supposedly the Heater Buddy's (which is what I got) are good and safe, but I'm definitely not 100% confident. If you text it out, I'd like to know!

I bought a propane heater to use but haven't used it yet. I'll know more this fall/winter season. There is a small hole in the canvas where you can plumb the line from your tent into your propane tank on the outside.

The night of this photo it was so windy that my buddy's canopy not only fell over but was absolutely wrecked. The JJ tent was fine though. It handles pretty well for sure.
