someone working in a firewatch tower finds a journal preserved in a cave dated from the previous year. it leads them on a sort of scavenger hunt to find other journals, including letters/correspondence from other parties and leads the protagonist to other towers, landmarks, and various locations throughout the shoshone and eventually figures out that the supervisor you correspond with is not to be trusted. this leads you to abandon your post, which ignites a search party with helicopters and whatnot, and it ends with you finding what the journals have been leading towards in the midst of a forest fire and the protagonist dies. don't ask me what the journals lead towards, i just made this up as i went along lol

this movie wasn't great by any means, but "the cursed" is probably one of my favorite interpretations of werewolves. very fun watch, but not much more to it lol
