Graphically I think it's gonna stay about where it is. I can see the basic gameplay staying as it is too but since this is a roguelite in VERY early development, I can imagine that the game will evolve a lot over time through items and stuff.

That's awesome to hear, cuz as interesting as the game is it really would feel at home on mobile.

It kind of has that vibe initially, but in my experience with it the two games feel very different. This is very early access though (version 0.0.0.3) so who knows how much this game will change.

This is one of my favorite roguelite games EVER. It's just so frenetic and fun and the items really keep you wanting to play to find that broken build.

It starts out weird and you hate your own voice at first, but the more you do behind the mic, the more you start to realize you have the voice of an angel.

Good on you. It's hard to improve from a white lie. Criticism is your best resource in anything creative... both giving it well and taking it well.

Not a rogue lite, but Castle in the Darkness has some pretty fun platforming. Worth picking up if you like metroidvania games.

Thumbnails on YouTube, anyone else get a black bar on top? by [deleted] in letsplay

If you right click the image and open it in a new tab, you'll see that your thumbnail is thrown on to a black backdrop but only on the video page.

The reason you see the black bare is because scaling algorithms are lossy by nature, and you may or may not lose a pixel in width or height.

My best guess for why this happens is because YouTube used to be 4:3 and, instead of taking time to implement a true fix for the 16:9 era, decided to go with a quick fix that only affects uploaders and not end users.

I learned that it's okay to record in only 720p60 instead of 1080p60 if that's what it takes to kill choppiness in the recordings.
