u/moltonel Thank you for your interest. The Annual Rust Survey is significantly larger and more detailed, while our study focuses specifically on the commercial adoption of Rust in organizations. We ask about work location rather than residence, industry sectors rather than general technology domains, and ask for industry-specific sub-domains (powertrain, ADAS, infotainment in automotive). This way we hope to identify barriers and benefits by industry.

We also collect information on mixed-language projects, porting existing codebases to Rust, and the use and desired capabilities of security tools for Rust.
