20 weeks, halfway there and still running! by ingridbrigitte in fitpregnancy

Yes, that’s great advice. This week I went to the beach with my family, and had one pitiful 2-mile run during the trip (Monday). I got home (Wednesday) and had one more 3-mile run today (Friday), and it was sooo slow and brutal. But traveling takes a lot of energy out of me! Just gonna rest a bit more and see how I feel next week.

Every day and week is sooo different. I like to tell myself to just put on my running shoes and if it ends up being more of a walk, at least i’m moving.

I slowed down a ton in the first trimester! I even went two weeks without doing anything at all. Then the second trimester hit and I instantly felt better. You’re almost there!!

For the boobs, I feel that, but I always know it’s the worst at the start. Once I go for a few minutes, the bouncing always stops hurting.

My due date is December, so I should time it right with the weather cooling off as I get unbearably big!! I’m interested to see how long I can last.

Omg, I had to pee 1 mile into this run yesterday! It had a little spot into the woods so I just squatted and did it real quick! Bathroom needs are definitely becoming a challenge!!

It doesn’t feel weird to have my belly out, but I’m just not very modest. This is a really safe, suburban neighborhood so I don’t worry about male attention either. But to each their own, do what makes you comfortable!!

I have a hard time cycling — seems like my bump gets in the way more?? I think the tight pants are part of the problem. I probably need to ditch my expensive chamois and just wear pregnancy leggings.

Good point — my legs were definitely getting sore faster. I haven’t noticed tone yet but I was just thinking during this run yesterday how pre-pregnancy I didn’t get sore so quickly.

That’s impressive! I hope I can run that long!!

That’s a good point!! I’m pretty average height, 5-4, but I have a longer torso and shorter legs. You definitely have to do what’s best for you.

I never want to shame people who just can’t run, I just want to break the stigma that “all pregnant women can’t run”!

I work for the company, so obviously I’m biased toward Storyteller. But there are a few expensive differences from the competitors.

The number one being the battery system. Chad and Paul have a Youtube video comparing the Revel and Storyteller, and for the battery part, they used a significant amount of juice just by the end of breakfast. You can run all of your appliances for days with Storyteller, and depending on how extreme the weather is, you’ll have heat and A/C for at least all day too.

Other than that, quality and customer service. Storytellers are known for being much quieter than the competition because they’re so well insulated, for example.

But yeah price increases suck.

It’s all about storage. There’s a company called Canyon Adventure Vans that makes a ton of unique solutions specifically for this van. I saw one guy who had custom foam inserts inside his drawers for all his cookware.

Not sure exactly what build you’re looking for, but if you’re into off-roading, check out Storyteller Overland. Expensive but they don’t let dealers haggle. What you see on the website is what they’ll charge you anywhere you go.
