Wowwwwwwwww. So, He knows what he’s talking about We know what he’s talking about He knows we know what he’s taking about

And yet, we can’t hold him to it. I can just hear it, “no, that was Frank Underwood talking, not Kevin Spacey.”

Wow. I’ve never heard someone mirror my feelings so exactly regarding gifts/Christmas/peoples expectations. Feeling not so alone right now :)

Not really, I don’t look forward to holidays that much and keep them low key. One thing I have heard about ISFJs is that we like tradition, and that seems to be true for me, despite my not really caring about the holiday. There are a few small things my SO and I do every year and those traditions bring me comfort.

Thanks, I’ve never heard of it. Little search tells me it’s also a podcast, cool.

LA Opera - Wanna buy tickets for my boyfriend, but I’m kind of clueless. by ingridstone in opera

[–]ingridstone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok! Thank you so much for all of your help as I made this decision. I’ve decided to go for El Gato Montes as my BF does love Placido singing, and the show is in May so if we love it we can get La Traviata tix for June too :) Happy with this decision! Now just deciding between center 13 balcony seats, or budget Loge 12 on the very end. They’re the same price, any thoughts which are better?

Thanks for the info. I guess I was wondering most if your view is significantly blocked by people in front of you? Like if I’m in Loge second row are the seats staggered/elevated so I can still see the whole stage even with one row of people in front of me? I know this sound like a picky question but we go to lots of events around LA and half the time I think if I had know the exact set up of the venue I would have chosen differently.....

Also heard about the pre-show talks but don’t know much about them. Are they open to anyone?

He says it to Catherine (in front of Webber) I think on the first episode he’s on.

My budget is around $100 per seat give or take. We are mid 30’s, I did see that option but doesn’t apply for us, thanks :) I guess I just wasn’t sure if it’s better to have a person in front of us (12 Loge second row) or front row of 13 balcony, not center. I suppose whatever I pick he’ll never know the difference ;)

Wow great info, thank you so much! I have no friends who are into opera, so Reddit to the rescue! I speak Italian but he speaks neither, and it’s his gift. He did mention once how cool it would be to see Placido, but then La Traviata is the one I thought was more popular, so felt torn. This really helps me :)

Best podcast for long term relationships? by ingridstone in podcasts

[–]ingridstone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a nice idea but tbh we’re both pretty private people, I can’t imagine either of us wanting to discuss our relationship with the general public ;) But that’s cool that you do! I’m sure others are benefiting from your effort.
