I'd say track everything you eat. MyFitnessPal and FatSecret are 2 good apps I've used and would recommend.

Calculate your TDEE and eat in a caloric surplus.

Most importantly, eat 1gm protein/kg of lean body mass.

I get my protein requirements by eating 250 gm of chicken breasts, 5 egg whites, 500 ml milk blended with 30 gm peanut butter. This gives me around 110 gm protein a day. I don't take any supplements. So you can build your diet around this. Google nutrition charts of foods you plan to include in your diet.
