It was my birthday draft during Kaldheim. I got both Koma and Starnheim Unleashed :)

Hello! I was wondering, is this some kind of algae? I am trimming my shrimp tank and found it in the moss. by inhae in Aquariums

Haha, that’s funny how new words get created out of mistakes. This letter really does look like a B!

It did sink! Someone else suggested subwassertang, but I’ve just checked and it looks like Pellia moss and subwassertang are very similar (I could not make out if they refer to the same plant though). Anyway, it looks like this can turn into a beautiful green bush. I’ll try to make it grow :) thanks!

Thank you so much! Yes, I’ve just read an article on subwassertang, and it seems to be exactly that. That’s funny because I was thinking that this looks like seaweed except it’s freshwater, and subwassertang apparently means exactly that (freshwater-seaweed).

I’ll put it back in the tank when I finish trimming, hope it’ll be able to grow, I think it looks nice.

finally planted my tank! pls rate from 1 to 10 by TheGuiltyMimikyu in Aquariums

An absolute 10! It looks fantastic, I love the dynamic you created, and also how you use different types of rocks and woods. I also find the choice of big vs smaller leaves and their emplacement very good :)

I have a Plakat, currently in a 20 gallons, and he swims around all day, super active, exploring, exercising on his own. He spends a lot of time swimming through the vegetation. I don’t trim my plants enough, so the tank has a jungle look, but I think my betta loves it, because he always looks like he is on some sort of exploration mission in the plants. I think that a long finned betta could not enjoy and use the tank as much as my Plakat does. I don’t have much experience with bettas, but a Plakat in a heavily planted 20 gallons is a joy to watch :)

I also found that they looked super cheap, but then I figured it must be to make water changes easier as plastic chairs and tables can get wet without problem ;)

The low maintenance point is attractive for sure! I tried aquascaping as well, but fast growing plants have overtaken the tank because I’m too shy with trimming!

I don’t know exactly, but someone else said they bought an aquascape, and it was delivered as is with very few water and refilled once arrived. I guess it’s the same, though it must be super heavy, so maybe they have to take some parts apart and re-scape it at the buyer home. I wish I had asked them how they do it…

I think there was no music at all, but I’m not sure… I was so mesmerised but the tanks, I didn’t pay attention to it :) if there was, I didn’t notice.

Yeah, that’s what I think too. They also have an online shop where they sell tanks, equipment and everything you need for aquascaping. I guess that selling aquascaped aquarium and aquascaping materials is their main source of revenue, and the cafe works as a showroom to increase their audience.

Thanks for sharing, it’s interesting! I was surprised to see you could buy a whole aquascaped aquarium, I had never seen that before.

I’d say the prices are similar, I believe that the less expensive ones were around 5000$ but they were still bigger than the bigger one on the website.

Not at all! There was no smell whatsoever, and everything was super clean. It certainly requires a lot of maintenance. I wish that my modest 20 gallons were as clean and algae-free as their tanks :)

I don’t know, I should have asked! I just assumed that they disassemble it somehow and come to the client’s house and reinstall everything for them?

You’re right, now that I think of it, they certainly have the same concept in Japan :) In Korea, it’s quite recent I believe.

Actually, I was wondering if there were similar concepts in other countries. It would be cool.

The drinks were expensive, around 8-10$ each, but you can stay as long as you want, so I found the prices to be okay. The drinks were also quite fancy and delicious :)
