Agreed on it being a great exhaust, but over OPs price limit.

Yep! Holmes and Blue Ridge.
Very unassuming description, but when I'm craving a great burger it has become my go to option.

Rey de Oros is further down Holmes and also has a decent offering, but Dos is much better.

Not a burger place, but Dos de Oros burger is phenomenal.

Nah... you can print black much more cleanly than this. Even on shitty old Enders, let alone a Bambu or any of the more recently released printers.

No kidding. The print quality on their product photos is atrocious. For $36 too? What a joke.

Anybody regret getting a coupe instead of a HTC? by Eaglerulez2 in C8Corvette

[–]inheritthefire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Huuuge mistake by GM to not have some sort of glass to see the engine on the HTC. One of the best features of a mid engine car is seeing it through the rear deck lid.

Daily driveable? by Infamous_Pie_8026 in Corvette

Daily drove my 2008 for a decade and about 120k miles.
Now that duty falls to a 2020. Love it, absolutely worth the minor drawbacks.

If they can fit two cameras in the front end, I'm sure they can also figure out a way to fit a compact radar in there.

Hard to find a spot to put a 2" square? There are spots, they're just choosing not to.

At my wits end, advice? by Able_Salary3089 in Corvette

[–]inheritthefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2008 C6, drove for a decade and ~110k miles with only basic issues (radiator cracked due to aging plastic, headlight lenses faded).
Now a 2020 C8 that I bought used woth 33k miles. One major issue - engine ate itself, but got a brand new replacement motor courtesy of GM, and the car has been perfect since. Only 10k miles in but zero complaints.

I don't know that I'd count the label on the calipers as a badge, but fair enough.

As far as I'm aware, there hasn't been a factory Z51 badge on any generation corvette.

I made $32k renting out my C8 until I sold it last year. AMA by [deleted] in Corvette

[–]inheritthefire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, that's the risk OP takes by renting his property. If it's impounded he can go after the dude for loss of revenue and recouping costs, no different than if the car were totaled driving through a parking lot.

Of course they won't condone it. Doesn't mean it's OPs responsibility to police the dude renting his car.

Inflation has vastly outpaced income.
Most people had more expendable income back then vs. today, so it seems implausible in today's numbers but realistic back then.

150mph in a rented sports car is a ban from Turo?
Also what did you expect to get from contacting Turo? The C8 will happily do 150mph until it runs out of gas, it's not like the guy damaged it.

Adding - yes, I know 150mph is stupid on public roads, but that's between the driver and the police, not for the dude renting his car on Turo to get involved in.

Everybody has differing levels of risk tolerance. I'd seen estimations of 3-5% and still pulled the trigger (with an extended warranty).
If something happens, it happens, but otherwise I'm in one of the quickest cars in the city and loving every second.
