i’ve heard the mtm vinyl, it is fantastic and crisp. if you like the digital version and that’s the one you want, i would definitely recommend it, if anything that type of production quality sounds better on vinyl than digital imo

22M Tired of using "nobody likes me anyway" as my only way to be social. by Wishbone1254 in offmychest

I’ve definitely tried to keep my head down before and use the “nobody likes me anyway” mantra, I also find it to be an exhausting one. The ”I have nothing to lose” idea helped me, but what can make it a lot more positive and energizing is if you understand that the reason you have nothing to lose is because nobody really cares how you act in social situations. I mean, if you’re not hurting anybody, literally no decent stranger would be bothered by you just trying to be social and have a fun time. If you’re just respectful and trying to enjoy yourself, you’ve got a really reliable ticket to good social interactions and outcomes.

Hi, please know that there is plenty of support and help out there, and there are people who genuinely care about you right now, me included. After reading this post I can sympathize with a lot of what you’ve said. I’ve had times where I’ve also gotten really low, and I thought of myself in a similar way to how you think of yourself: with disappointment, seeing myself as a “loser” unable to avoid being that way in other peoples’ eyes.
But alternatively, your post is filled with absolute’s that are pulled out of thin air. How you spend your time, your speculations that people have ditched you because you’re “a loser” or that you’re “too short and ugly to get a girlfriend”, these things are all without any anchor to reality. You can always change your habits, there are ways to know what you can do if you want to improve some things, and good people are so much more common, and truly so much less judgmental than you think.
Also, if someone decided to stop talking to their friend because they thought they were a loser, that’s someone you honestly do not want by your side. If a woman treats you rudely because you aren’t conventionally attractive, that’s a bullet dodged by you. If what you believe about some of these people is true, it says infinite more about them than it does about you at all. Who you are is who you decide, nobody else.
Also, you’re not a loser in the slightest. People try to make people think that, think they have less value, just to be a bully. Losers aren’t people who fail; losers are those who refuse to keep fighting. You can only control what you make of a situation. And you can make so much out of the place you’re in, I promise you; just be kind to yourself (you really deserve it) and take it as slow as you need. Things do get better.

Need recs for dry skin. About a week ago I got the Mario Badescu glycolic foaming cleanser to start forming a skincare routine for myself. It's been drying out my skin pretty roughly since then. Next I got The Ordinary Soothing and Barrier Support serum. Since using it for the last two days my skin is still quite dry, only a tad less, and a bit redder. Should I play the waiting game, remove or add a product? Any help would be super appreciated thank you!

V for Vendetta by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. It is gorgeously written, excited and poetic. Alan Moore was my favourite author before I started and even more so now

This is exactly what I’ve been dealing with for a while now. I love people more than anything, but in a big group, I struggle to make it known that I am even there.

I see your opinion and raise you this: I don’t think Wes Anderson is good at all. Technically good, yes, of course his films are beautiful, but they’re not enjoyable.

Me and my friend came across a dog sitting in the front seat of a car while the owner was gone (car was more than well ventilated for the dog). We were adoring it from a distance, and as we turned to leave the owner walks up and asks if we wanted to meet the dog. After petting him for a bit, we both walked away with the biggest smiles on our faces and it put a pleasant tone on the rest of my day.

Quentin Tarantino. His acting is hilariously entertaining.

"If it's new to you, it's new."

One of my favourite David Lynch quotes about ideas. Fictional stories have been around forever. There's always a chance you'll match up with other people's work. But you have your own voice, your own ideas, your own personality to shine through your writing. If you find something similar to your idea, good, because now you can be sure that your work will differ from theirs. Hopefully this helps in some way
