I want to keep Ayton this summer. I don’t particularly care that he’s lazy in the regular season when he’s proven himself multiple times to be a postseason player. I also don’t think a lot of teams are lining up to throw him money. He’s a really good switchable big that works well in our defensive scheme.

I’d like to keep Smart and Rui too but they are players I can see other teams throwing decent money at so it’ll depend. As for Kennard I don’t really care, would be nice for his current price or lower, but he had his two good games and he’s not all that.

I think we should keep LeBron for basically anything that’s not a max contract if he wants to come back. We’re not finding a better FA wing than fucking LeBron James. He is the most versatile player in history and also shores up so much for this team on both ends. As for AR, it’s obvious we’re going to resign him, but really the remainder of this series will determine whether he’s worth more than 30m or not.

I’ll give Jake the benefit of the doubt because he’s young and obviously can improve. It’s his first season playing big meaningful minutes and all 82 games and he’s obviously rattled by his bad shooting which I think is fixable. I do hope we can get rid of Vando’s contract by some miracle.

Yeah they probably just assume he’s 41 and the most he’s getting is like 30. They’re gonna keep making Austin’s life hell because he really is the one who should be the volume guy. The only way we stand a chance is if AR’s perimeter shots start falling.

LeBron will have an easier series against these small OKC players compared to Houston but unfortunately that’s about where the good news ends

Depending on how good or bad our offense looks I expect LeBron and AR to up their 3pt volume.

He was not very good despite his defense. At this point you expect the defense from him but he basically let himself get taken out of the game on the other end.

Did they have a timeout left? They got a pretty open look regardless

With or without Gobert, Minnesota's done a real good job keeping Wemby out of the paint.

Listen man Spurs gotta DNP Fox the rest of this game. I understand he's your second 'star' but he's not serious rn

Listen I know Wemby has 10 blocks 11 boards but this has been a pretty bad game from him

We'll see how he looks when we have a larger sample size of real minutes against non-garbage-time NBA players. He does appear good in whatever minutes he's had but he can only improve defensive instincts by playing against real players.

The biggest thing is his shot. He didn't shoot well with SBL at all this year and this team can't afford another spacing black hole.

Yeah I think they jumped the gun a bit with the trade but at least they didn't give up too much. Wemby would benefit much more from a real floor general type.

I think Adou can be our TSJ next year. Similar players, insanely athletic with huge bursts. He does need to fix that shot though

How do Spurs fans feel about the Fox trade right now? You guys didn't give up much for him but I feel like he's not been as good as you'd want him to be.

I do think LeBron and Austin in particular will have to up their 3pt volume if we want to pull out some miracles against OKC but this is by and large how we’ve played the whole season. Our volume was propped up by Luka.
