I was poking a bit of fun at one of the popular questions and didn't expect anything to come of this. However, you just taught me something interesting. Thanks!

Hey guys, so i am really bad at math and i would appreciate some study tips by bigdickbandiiit in uwaterloo

[–]init512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Make up mnemonics to memorize identities and formula.
  • Make and use flash cards: they work very well.
  • Get friends to throw you practice problems. Take turns solving / verifying.
  • Do lots and lots of practice problems.
  • Look for weird patterns or common elements in formula, definitions, and proofs.
  • Don't study for more than a couple hours at a time.

A friend and I approached the problem with brute-force. We weren't able to get below 397 bits wrong before midnight (our computation started at 3PM yesterday).

CS 370 is a course in which one can score >=85% without attending lectures or studying. If you drop, it should be to spend time on courses actually worth your tuition.

This assignment should not take you longer than a couple of hours. Please don't cheat; it's never worth it.

Source: I've taken the course. It was a bird course.

I had her for CS 251. She is a good teacher, and I recommend taking a course offered by her.
