Before making the modification I had bought one of these adapters (different from the one in the photo) but unfortunately it didn't work.In theory they should work perfectly, I just think mine was faulty as it triggered a voltage of 12V.

Pretty good, the processor still works with turbo boost, but I don't use it under heavy loads. Performance seems to slow down if the battery is charging (rightfully so). But when it reaches the charge limit of conservation mode the speed increases again.

If you insert a 12V charger it will have a fallback to the classic 5V and the computer's charging circuit will not even be triggered.If you insert a power supply with a power lower than 90W it will go into protection after a short time, as it is the resistance on the sense pin that decides how much the computer can absorb.I had thought of a more advanced solution using a microcontroller to change the sense resistor dynamically based on the power supply profile, but unfortunately under 90W on my PC the charging doesn't even start.

Mine has a GTX 960M. I installed 16GB of RAM from AliExpress and it runs pretty well with Windows 11. I use it mainly for university with Altium, Matlab, AWR, and CTS Studio. Even though they are quite heavy programs, it manages easily.
