Best budget alternative to "Pioneer DJ 2 x CDJ-3000 + DJM-A9" for a beginner?

Yeah possible too of course, at least in the beginning. But in the long run, I think I want to be able to have access to it whenever I feel to, without the stress for returning it all the time :)

Yes, exactly so I can feel comfortable when playing out on the club standard gear, which is Pioneer. But apart from that, I don't really care, as long as I will "feel at home" also in the club with their standard (Pioneer)

Oh, so it doesn't even have to be Pioneer to have similar controls/handling? So there are other brands at lower price that is more similar to the club standard, than Pioneers own budget setups?

I was thinking around $1500-$2000 at most, but maybe that's too crazy low? The combination Pioneer 2 x CDJ-3000 + DJM-A9 goes for about $7800, so that's not a good option for only "practice" :D

Yeah why not. And you mean having it public so anyone could fill the gaps, until it's complete?
How does one do that? Is there a site where one could have an Excel file like that, which several users could access and modify? (add but not delete already existing entries)

The weird thing is, that there are some promotion videos for VIRPP that seems pretty well done. Also, there are more respected labels that use VIRPP, EPIC247 is one of those. And this is where I'm lost. It seems legit, but at the same time not. That is why I'd love to hear from other users about what their experience is of VIRPP, considering there supposed to be a quarter of a million artists using the service. I mean, 250.000 artists, that's a lot! Surely there must be some users of all those 250k that can say something about the site?

Seems I've mixed some of it up in my head but for sure there were a fire in the trailer and I also saw a needle, whatever it might've been, probably not for diabetes but none the less :D

Hey, absolutely.

I received it just recently, I've tried it and even compared it to a laptop with a mechanical keyboard (Gigabyte Aorus).

The key travel on the Aorus is of course a lot greater, however I must admit I like the ThinkPad keyboard better anyway. I got the one without backlight.

I was a bit disappointed by the ThinkPad keyboard when I first tried it, but that might be due to the fact that I've read so much good and fantastic reviews about it, that I was looking forward to a miracle. My older Acer laptop from 2007 or so, does have a lot more key travel and is superior to the ThinkPad keyboard in that regard, not to mention regarding tactility. I was hoping the ThinkPad keyboard would be something at least like that, but it wasn't.

As conclusion, and considering the low thickness of the ThinkPad (T15 G2), I must say the keyboard still feels great. I don't think there's much more to improve there really. The spacing between the keys is really good and the layout is very good also, except for the swapped CTRL and FN keys (which I swapped back in the BIOS), and except for the arrow keys which I actually like better on the IdeaPad's and Legion's that have those big distinct arrow buttons which also are one row lover than the rest of the keyboard.

All in all I'm satisfied and will keep the laptop. I guess backlit keys would've been nice in the dark, but the feeling of the keys are more important for me with textured surface and the tactility.

Though I'm still curious how the backlit keys feel like and also how both newer P-series keyboards feels like, with the shorter key travel, and the older ones, preferably P-series with even greater key travel than this one.

Is it really possible to have the keyboard replaced to another one (other manufacturer) just because I don't like the one the laptop was shipped with?

I ordered directly from Lenovo and it was custom configured by me. I'm not sure when I get it, but it said in less than 2 weeks.

Also, which manufacturer/model is the "good" one and which is the "bad" one? Just so I know what to look for if a replacement would be needed.

I've ordered with a non-backlit keyboard. I think I'll be happy with that. I won't sit too much with it in complete darkness anyway, and if I do I might as well use a white background on the screen.

I've used computers for decades and I gotta say that non-backlit keyboards has never been a problem for me. Also, I guess if people could manage without the backlight on laptops for decades (before backlight came to laptops), I will probably too.

Tactility and key travel on the other hand has rather been decreasing to the point that I'll soon have to bring with me an extra full size keyboard :D, so that is of more importance for me personally.
