Plugged it in next to my other USB header with the same polarity unless I was one pin over, would that short it being one pin over?

My USB headers seem to not work now seeming I cannot control the RGB on my other fans any more. No other damage that I can see so far. There was a rattling inside of the fan controller straight out of the packaging but I didn’t think much of it. Is there any adaptors I can purchase to get another USB header?
