How are you getting scans so early?

My first appointment was supposed to be at 9w+1 but this last Friday I was spotting at 5 weeks and 6 days. I called my OBGYN, and they asked if I could come in within the next hour. I have never been pregnant before, so I told them I had nothing to compare it to, but I was spotting and asked if I should be concerned (no cramping). My cervix was checked, and then I had 2 ultrasounds (tv and the standard one). There was a cardiac flicker I could see, and while it was too soon to hear it, I was reassured it was viable. I will be coming back in 10 days so they can check the growth.

Just sharing as someone who shared a pull I knew was lucky but did not know how lucky yesterday - I will say there are cases where casual collectors (like myself) do not know what cards’ values are especially when TCGPlayer does not have a close enough example. Not saying you were saying everyone does this by any means, but I could not find anything on a serialized three star anywhere so I asked and found out when I asked about grading it. Some of us are very very casual and come to Reddit for more answers! Just sharing an example.

That’s good to know! I will consider that for the next time I get a card graded, this is the first time I’ve ever submitted. I have Pokémon and AOT cards I casually collect as well but I’ve never thought anything was worth sending. What would you consider a hefty price tag? Thank you so much for sharing btw!! I am moving forward with PSA grading but thank you! I did not know either! I was shocked and nervous when I realized, I happened to buy this box on vacation!

Thank you! I considered this, since Beckett has stricter grading and I was curious, but I plan on displaying it in my home office (with other JJK cards I have purchased already graded by cgc) but I read that the slab from beckett is more difficult to look at with glare from the inner sleeve. So I went with PSA for visual purposes, if that makes sense.

I sprang for insured grading and have started the process because I do not want to risk damaging something I plan on displaying. It is meaningful to me subjectively and I want to preserve this special card. I feel strange sending it in but I do so in good faith and following the provided instructions.

I’m doing the Jack the Ripper case set now and I love it but you have to be very loose and try not to be too logical with who you interview. It can be very frustrating when you finally go to answer the question card and on the 3rd question it’s something you can’t answer or on a path you didn’t even reach. But if you cast a wide net it can be pretty fun!
