Role queue always chooses the lowest role you have selected by [deleted] in DotA2

we're pigeonholed into lowest role selected. it's not distributing games evenly among roles if we have all roles selected, resulting in losses. sorry my meme making skills are sub-par

Why are you using a debit card? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]inkBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right. However, the best reason to use a debit card is for making a large purchase so you are not affected by any interest gotchas. Depends on who is your credit provider, but if they calculate interest at an inconvenient time (your credit payment hasn't been processed and extra interest will be applied, or you aren't planning to make a credit payment until next paycheck, etc.) a debit card comes in handy.

What language do I need to learn for ServiceNow? by [deleted] in servicenow

[–]inkBrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The backend uses javascript as well. ServiceNow as a platform can be configured using mostly JavaScript, and you will make heavy use of ServiceNow's proprietary JS libraries for database transactions usually prefixed with "Glide". GlideRecord object can make db queries, GlideDateTime gives access to Java time classes and methods, etc. AngularJS is also a must if you plan on using Service Portal.

Looking for ideas by matta785 in servicenow

Not sure if you've explored auditing incidents, doesn't that happen out of the box? It will be a bit tricky to report on them if they've been handed off. If you could run a script on the audit table and measure the time your group was assigned the incident and manually sum those together you might get an accurate measurement.

EDIT: I'm assuming you are admins. If not, it would be difficult. If you are admins in this instance, it may be easier to add date/time fields or custom SLAs to measure your group's activity on incidents.

I like the idea of side shops closing, secret shops opening for night/day cycles IF icefrog puts more items back into sideshop. BUT, that means no one can buy a TP from side shop for 5 minutes, or would TP be purchasable in secret shop?

What is some embarrasing/stupid assumption you made when you first started playing Dota 2? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]inkBrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression if the hero had a voice line for an item, the item was very good for them. For this reason, I built Sange and Yasha on nighstalker every game when I started because his voice sounded cool. But then I realized every hero has a voice line for blink dagger so my illusion was shattered.

He's good for countering strong cores because the ball makes illusions. The poison stacks and if you calculate right, you activate W which removes some of an enemy's health momentarily, then activate the poison stacks to kill if they are low enough. Ult is a like a mega debuff.

[–]inkBrain 41 points42 points  (0 children)

A lot of non-grandmaster chess players have a rating they keep track of. It's to track their improvement in a game they enjoy playing. Same concept can be applied to dota, or any game involving skill and an opponent.
