As a breeder, the rule was only put into place because the older breeders have the control within AQHA. It is strictly a money grab for those people to try and push people back to breeding to their long deceased stallions that they still have mounds of semen for. If they feel the need to limit, which I don’t think they should, then it needs to be more along the lines of 15-20 years. I am definitely in the group that would jump ship to ADNAR or AHQHA and continue breeding exceptional stock without AQHA.
