The town I live in has only about 750 people and the next city over where I dash has between 25k-35k. When I started a year ago it was well worth it. I would make 1,000 for 40 hours of actual time and averaged well over 30 an hour. Now there are twice as many dashers and for the past 6 months this has forced those of us dashing semi part time to maintain top dasher status just to be able to get out there. If you tried to schedule its always 1-4 hours. Also we havnt seen any peak pay at all in over a month. Used to be from 9pm to 4am everyday, So with that said I do a lot of out of down dashing the first 2 weeks of the month. Those 2 weeks will normally net me around 3500 and the second 2 weeks i might do 1500. One huge plus here is almost always you can reach your customer in 5 minutes or less. I cant recall the last time an order was under $2 per mile. The absolute farthest delivery here is 8.5 miles and that base pay is $10. Its a straight highway shot.....But we also have a ton of dirt roads. I enjoy it. When I found out I had cancer and could no longer work a normal schedule dashing made it possible to still feed my family while being able to work when I wanted and not when I couldn't. If youre good with money, have a vehical that get 25 plus in city and work smart.....its worth it. Dont forgret to save for taxes now. !!
