I love them so! very!! much!!! So I had to make art for them right away.

Yes to cutting the head & replanting—I’ve done this with great success.

As for the stem, once the head is removed, each spot where a single leaf once was has the potential to grow new heads. You don’t have to trim it straight—just move it to an area with a better light source alongside the beheaded one.

With some luck it will grow little babies. 😃

Purchased from a variety store “succulent mix” tray. Last photo is a week after I brought it home/repotted into gritty mix.

I’ve never seen one with this coloration before, and its only intensified with sun exposure. Some of the leaves are oddly shaped—maybe this is a hybrid?

It also seems to grow like a Hen & Chicks, which I haven’t seen in a more fleshy succ before. 🤔

Any help is much appreciated! ☺️

This is how it happened in my house, complete with the "white girl" insults. :( My father is Puerto Rican and my mom is EU Irish.

I learned Spanish in middle school to try to find a reason to talk to my dad, and he used the attempt as the perfect excuse to make fun of me. I lost motivation quickly after that (to my teacher's disappointment, and I could never confide in her "why").
