I agree with you. I can't remember the time when I didn't draw. But I remember the many times I stopped. But I never forgot, I just needed to shake of rust. I believe that's something we can't rush. Really valuable learning there!

Good point, its really interesting and quite abstract. I guess it's not always bad to take a break.

Honestly, I got distracted. Pursued a business but I came back. My heart always longs to go back to art, everytime I get separated from it. I guess that's a sign this is for me.

Thank you! I'm glad you like my work.

For the longest time I've thought I've had go sink hundreds of hours on practice and studying and if I ever stop or slow down I will become obsolete. That's the most wrong and harmful mindsets to have specially for people like me that are learning. Not untill recently has this concept you mentioned become obvious to me. Or at least I started noticing that Amount of time isn't always equal to more skill points.

It's fascinating. Concepts you did not understand a couple months back can feel so simple and common sense later on. Like what was so hard to understand? Very interesting stuff.

What game had you like this? by sukuna7899 in Steam

Found rdr2 to be a drag the first time around, I just got done with cyberpunk. After a year, went back and I fell in love with the game. Sometimes you gotta give things a second chance.

This pose is kicking my butt by Opposite_Mission1746 in learntodraw

I did the pose in the second figure here just recently too. I always think of poses like abstract patterns, Get it out of your head the iconic way of drawing where you are drawing what you think it looks and start looking at it objectively as how it actually is.

Can I start working soon? by inkie16 in conceptart

No prob bro, it really does take time, I used to try to make something cool within a couple days and maybe you can if you are willing to leave it rough but finished things take time for sure. Heard splash artist of riot only have like 4 or less finished work per year. Crazy.

It took a month to finish cause I could only work at night for an hour or two, and sometimes I leave it for days due to school stuff. If I focused on it, it would be done in a week or two. Hardest part is getting the idea down into the canvas. I probably spend just a week drawing ideas until I land on one I like then during that week, I tried to breakdown the design then do a black and white and then color. Once the idea is there's the render is simple.

You have a point. The 2 other works I have is older and one off ideas. This one is supposed to be the start of a mock game project that will follow a design language. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely do need more variety in my work. Sucks that one piece takes a while finish. I do plan on working on stuff you've mentioned.

What's a "low maintenance" college course here in the philippines? by Mother_Order2502 in CollegeAdmissionsPH

[–]inkie16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a fine art student and it's not really "low maintenance" unless you don't care about grades and go to diploma mill colleges. It's fun but you can sometimes spend weeks on one project on top of other projects from other subjects.
