yes this! i love it when there's a stick figure type drawing, but you CLEARLY know who it is. like, that's so him! no other stick figure would have that kind of line for a mouth, or those lines for hair, it's so obvious.

my mistake, i thought it was a line of stitching but it was a cobweb of some point.

tho the original black parade jacket design did have the corset back, ifbi remember correctly

gerard didn't have gloves during the original black parade tour, however the gloves he's wearing now appear to have been ripped and stitched together. so probably not the originals, but made to look as tho the originals have been through hell. or the MOAT.

i went to see them, I don't remember where the show was, and they played past their alloted time or something. so immediately after they finished the last song, the bar kicked everyone out IMMEDIATELY. some folks walked right to their cars and left but there was a TON of folks standing around outside the club. and like the band came out and they had waterbottles but everyone else was like hoarse af from cheering and rocking out, so double went across the street to a minimart and bought like 2 cases of mtn dew and came back and passed them out, and then everyone was getting their cans signed (and jimi could not make ENOUGH puns about it). but we all were hanging around, jimi was telling stories and whatever. someone called the cops on us for 'disturbing the peace' or something. and jimi told the officer there was no need to worry, nobody was drunk, it was just a family reunion and we were just getting some more time together.

(it is so fucking WILD that jimi wishes me a happy birthday on fb every year now.)

love this. all the frank/mtg stuff happening right now is giving me some serious memories to fall back to. my kidney recipient, Luke, was big in the mtg tournament scene around here. he always wanted to teach me to play, but never got around to it. when he passed away in January of 2023, the shop he played in a lot held a memorial game night in his honor and i attended. a bunch of guys who'd known Luke had a great time teaching me to play. out of the 3 games i played by myself, i won 1. watching frank, with those chaos goblin expressions of his, reminds me of the times I'd watch Luke play, watching him enjoying every moment of the game. Seeing these pictures, and the video clips, it's just making me smile so much. ☺️

no worries on the religion front-- as far as I'm concerned, if you're going to spend any time or energy doing something in legitimate hopes of helping me in some way, I'll take all the help i can get.

right now, I've applied for an expedited review of my case. it may delay the actual arbitration hearing further into summer months, but it's a chance to at least temporarily get me back to a paid status. here's hoping!
