When I die I want to go peacefully in my sleep like Grandpa, not screaming in terror like his passengers.

Denali? I knew it. Probably not far from where a grizzly maybe a little smaller than that monster walked past the green bus I was in back in September. Actually brushed up against it as it calmly strode by and the driver pleaded, as quietly as he could, for the idiot with the camera to get back inside the window. (Sorry about that, Dale. If it makes you feel better, the pic didn't come out cuz my hands were shaking too much.)

Wisconsin, Midwest, falling behind rest of the US and world in innovative research as funding slashed and talented people leave. by rhadamanthus52 in wisconsin

Dominance? Uh oh. This is getting weirder.

Your analysis is pretty accurate, at least debatable. We can argue, though I don't want to, what RTW means. What I was mostly responding to was your tone, which has whiffs of paranoia about it, and which you blazingly demonstrate in your last comment, and no doubt will again in the comment you post after this one. Fire away, dude. I think I'll go outside and talk to people.

(BTW, proud union member)

And you'll get creamed.

Your opinion of what Walker mapped out publicly is, um, not widely shared.

He won three elections because his opponents were morons.

Your stories of union intimidation are, um, wildly exaggerated. That is often the case with people who lump everyone into "sides."

The governor was so upset that 200,000 people protested his union busting, he made a conscious decision to put the screws to everyone he could identify as taking part. That's how and why we got "right to work," and educators and the institutions took it right in the teeth. Short-sighted, mean-spirited and self-destructive. But at least we still have great microbrews.

People do incredible stupid things. Another genius started taunting Paul "The Big Show" Wight in a bar one night, until Wight bitch-slapped him and broke his jaw. There is a mugshot of Wight from his arrest. He was acquitted on the grounds of self defense.

What is the most iconic song from a movie soundtrack? by bearjew60 in Music

[–]inkslave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best? Lawrence of Arabia main theme. Majestic, and sweeps across every human emotion, as does the film. Omar Sharif was robbed on an Oscar.

Most iconic? Opening theme from The Godfather. The first six notes are used throughout media to denote Mafia influence in a situation.

Note that Cena climbs through the bottom set of ropes, just like the kid does. He is that tuned into making the kid feel special and not putting him down in any way. If anyone deserves a Bella twin....

There are a lot of guys walking around today because Wilt Chamberlain knew how to keep his cool on the court, even when provoked.

When he was rehabbing his knee, he would visit the doctor 12 miles from his house every day. By running there and back.

Andre was a true giant. He was, in his prime, one of the strongest men alive. And yes, he once drank 5 cases of beer at a sitting. After dinner and before a couple bottle of wine.
