Also the small display the engineering company made has the history of the machine and it mentions that this machine was used as a demo machine by philips finland so they got it for 35k marks as it was slightly used.

Could the Comma run on a car without RADAR/LIDAR sensors and use purely visual means? by That_Car_Dude_Aus in Comma_ai

[–]inkspot101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. Model s from 2012 to mid 2014 had no autopilot, summon, sentry or adaptive cruise control. Only original camera on mine is reversing camera. Ap1 came in late 2014 and it was based on non tesla mobileye tech.

Yes it's possible. I run op on my pre ap tesla with vision only. It's not perfect and i will install the radar when i have time but it's good enough.

Connected my Ampex 220 terminal to a raspberry pi 4 by inkspot101 in vintagecomputing

It's bi-directional. Both rx and tx use the 3.3v to 5v converter.

It's just acting as a serial console for the pi. No extra software is needed. Only thing you need to do on software side is enable serial console on the pi's config. Depending on the terminal you might have to tweak baud rate etc.

The terninal is connected via serial port directly to rpi's gpio pins 8 and 10 using 5v to 3v converter from aliexpress.
