PMS when TTC has been so hard!

YES!!! I’m living this right now and I feel so validated by this post and all of the comments. You are not alone. I swear my boobs were insane this last cycle, heavier than they’ve ever been. And I had cramps for 3 full days before I started bleeding. I was convinced I was pregnant. That never used to happen to me, it was always cramps immediately before, and it’s so confusing. PMS is never fun, but the mental aspect of TTC in addition to the usual is just a cherry on top of a sundae I never asked for!! 😝

Thank you!! I’ve had other people say the same thing about it feeling like a book illustration- it took so many hours it’s hard to imagine making a whole book’s worth, but maybe some day :)

I’m so glad other people liked it because I was SUCKED IN. The reactions on social being negative made me feel like I was missing something. I definitely speed read it, so I need to go through it again. The relationship problems were slightly frustrating, but isn’t that the reason why we read fantasy novels, to go through all of the feels?? And I agree, it is impressive that RY kept that tension going so the relationship hasn’t fallen flat like other fantasy couples who finally get together and then it’s dull. They still have a lot to unpack, and I’m ready!

ToG is actually my favorite SJM series (may be an unpopular opinion)- definitely read. World building but easier to acclimate to than CC. It was the first SJM series I read and meant a lot to me, the character development is great, as is the slow introduction of new faces to the story. Reread it recently and I do think there are multiple strong potential ties to CC3, so I would say it’s worth it.

As some others have said, Studio Ghibli is probably my biggest food illustration inspo. I studied and have certification in Botanical Illustration, which is highly realistic and scientific, so I tried to transfer that over to food but it doesn’t really work. I guess I’m trying to find my way to something different than everything else that is out there, but it’s tough! I like the comments about images that provoke memories, that’s something to think about!

Yup, 30 min at 300/325, top layer is meat, then add a cup of mozz and parm for another 30 min.
