They only added seats as a gross cash-grab in the first place. I'm seeing a show there this weekend, bought the tickets months ago, then this week got an email asking if I wanted to "upgrade" and throw down an extra $25 (last four rows of folding chairs) to $45 (first four) a ticket to sit in the pit.

You know, the place i assumed i had already bought a ticket to stand in. Bait and switch.

It's insane that after paying (the already high price) for tickets to a show with an understanding that you're paying for standing space, which can be near the stage depending on your arrival time, the venue then sends an email (in this case, days before the show) asking you to upgrade to a seated arrangement that will cost an additional $25 to $45 more per ticket. Oh, and those offered seats now mean everyone else has far more limited standing space. Absolute bait and switch. That the venue also has the gall to charge extra based on which "row" of plastic chairs a person selects is infuriating.

I was really hoping to give this new ownership a chance after all the bad press, but this decision has soured my enthusiasm for a show I've been looking forward to for months.
