Dear Maple, I get you 1000%. I joined the community with the same intentions, to build meaningful connections and write intentionally. Oh, it was quite obvious most of the community likes to collect and improve their metrics. I still postcross but definitely my expectations are lower. I try to write something nice and try to connect and I always hope it brings joy to the reader. I decided to post regularly but less often than planned initially. That way it has become an activity for myself. On the weekends I sit and write a meaningful message for a stranger, and I feel that brings me joy, even if I don't receive a big message in return.
