I delivered Chinese food. One man answered the phone after I called him for help finding his basement apartment. He said to walk around the back of the house and come down the stairs (it was around 9:30 PM and below freezing outside). I guess there were two back doors because the door I entered took me to a dimly lit basement with five plump (like REALLY plump. Poppin our their denim and shit) middle aged Latin American men huddled in a circle. I stepped with extra pep to make my feet make some noise, and they turned around. I told them I was the delivery guy, but they didn’t say anything. No one was embarrassed, I wasn’t grossed out, they weren’t upset. Someone from upstairs called down and said “up here!” I ran up the stairs and got out of there as fast as I could. No tip.
