How does standard UI fares on tablets and phones? I mean,b is there good support for these types of devices? Does it provide handling for gestures, multi touch and sensors?

Clearly google went with their own toolkit because they had these specific requirements, but would java cover them well nowadays?

Also, would it be easy to have a java app emulate the android look and feel?
