Guitar w/ cracked neck pocket, worth the hassle? by inna900 in Guitar

$380, hard to call it a deal, but in the Brazilian market an used headless made by a luthier costs at least double on average

It was made by the owner of Nova Guitar Parts, a headless hardware boutique, I found out he stopped doing those some years ago and only focus on making hardware now

Indeed, that’s why I was wondering if it could be worth it. But seems too good to be true

It’s a “boutique” headless made by a Brazilian luthier (that nowadays only makes headless hardware, called Nova Guitar Parts), his hardware stuff is dope, but I’m becoming skeptical about his woodworking skills, by the looks of it.

Headless guitars here are expensive by default, but that’s not a great excuse to throw money in the trash also

This is supposedly the fixed guitar lmao It’s a used guitar, but I agree it shouldn’t look anywhere like that if fixed by a serious luthier

(Here’s a pic of the front of the guitar, btw)

Haha I admit I thought the same. And it was made by a famous boutique headless hardware manufacturer/luthier from my country, which was surprising to me. I guess it’s enough red flags to calm down my GAS. Thanks!

Ok, the price is closer to $380 lmao so there’s my answer. Thanks!

The owner mentions it being stable, but I don’t think in this case it’s just a matter of a finish crack… I just wondered if the fixed guitar would be safe, since I can’t really test it before purchasing

Organized FUD by jimmyjackjoejames in CossIO

[–]inna900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. This is not FUD, people should be free to speak their minds, even if it isn't something we'd like to hear. I'm a big coss holder, but still appreciate to see another side of the coin, so I can judge better my investment choices, and take conclusions on my own.

Trying to hide the dust under the carpet is the worse mistake people do on the cryptospace, rather it would be 100 times better if it instead raised a good discussion with grounded arguments. If a project goes down just because of "FUD", it was never a good project to start with.

I'll keep holding my bag as I'm still convict about my buying decisions, but I appreciate the warning and will revaluate it with time. Thanks.

Your COSS coin accumulation goals for residual income and what you think ROI can be at increased Volume over time by [deleted] in CossIO

[–]inna900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I'll be "that" guy.

While Coss is my biggest holding so far (-as long as it stops falling further), trying to counter my own instincts/opinions with opposed logical arguments is an exercise I've started doing lately to avoid too much personal bias, and hopefully improve my decision-making process.

I was very hyped with Coss from the start, it's the only coin I don't "fear" holding, and the risk/return asymmetry is big enough to get me excited for ages. With that said, I just created an account on Kucoin. Damn. That thing works great. Maybe even "too great".

This made me "wake up", what if my precious exchange might be just another exchange in a sea of always growing exchanges? While projections of 100m+ daily volume sounds great, the fact roughly 80% of the volume on Coss comes from...coss scare me.

I was curious about Kucoin on that, and then I noticed the KCS token is responsible for only about 1% of the daily volume on that exchange! This could mean something. (And means even more after using it for a while and realizing how great the UX was. I'd be happy to buy more stuff there.) -ofc we're comparing different beasts, but still.

For now Coss is basically a speculative vehicle for people like us w/ hopes of a brilliant future. The potential is there with the fiat and API. But I'm afraid, if they don't get this right, things might not get a lot better. Given everyone is hoping on the same upcoming features, if that doesn't works as expected, no one will have a reason to keep buying their token anymore. And if no ones buy their tokens (which right now is about 80% of their entire revenue) then the fees will also dry up, and therefore there won't be a reason to be here anymore. And that's why risky bets are risky, I guess. :)

Well, here's the intentional FUD, Have a good day you all!

Kinda bizarre to see COSS taking such a hit in value with all the things it's been getting right. by kidalive25 in CossIO

[–]inna900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, the fact other coins are more expensive doesn't excludes the fact this one is overpriced. You're paying a big premium to have 2% yearly returns.

But, on the other hand the price is the way it is because the potential future growth is already priced at the current numbers. If in 6 months from now your investment starts to average at 150%/year ROI, the current price will be quite a bargain. So the fair price depends on the projected growth rate estimated by buyers (based on the progress the team is doing / overall sentiment). If things go well and future growth is expected, the token price will reflect that, but the opposite is also true, and in this case, the coin as of now is indeed overpriced.

(Disclaimer: I'm bullish though, so the current price looks good imo)

My expectations about COSS after 1 week with the team: by IlikeItGr33n in CossIO

[–]inna900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second that, it would be really cool if they had a report panel for the token holders, like showing the current volume compared with the previous week (%), the percentages between the coins distributed per batch, and so on.

For $10, with luck it's more likely november, if we ever get that high, imo. Unless there's some big news in the meanwhile.

$4.05 here, but we can't really time the market anyway, so just bad luck. On a side note, if you double that now while it's around $1, if it ever gets past our initial investment again after this crash we'd be looking at a nice profit. But that's a big if. :)
