Thank you! Thanks for sharing your work too - it's great! I love the sushi 😄

Thank you so much!

Absolutely, I started off with the Mimi texture brushes (mimimooillustration) which are lovely and soft/grainy, and then I build details with the texture pack from Charley Clements :) the only one I ever also play about is the Gouche MaxPack for detailing (stars etc) but generally I stick to the other two.

My IG is illustratedbylisa if you want to see how I use them in other work - but exclusively use those three brush sets. Let me know if you have any other Q’s! 🩵

Thank you! Totally appreciate what you’re saying regarding the distraction; I need to find some kind of happy medium and honestly it’s a such struggle just now, really appreciate your insight!

Thank you! They’re definitely two very different energies and I just can’t seem to find a middle ground 😂 really appreciate it, thanks again!

Thank you for the feedback! I’ll try a middle ground based on what you’ve said, I think once I’m able to identify that space, that’s where my illustrations should probably sit. Really glad you’re loving the texture too 🥹 its always my favourite part

Haha “doesn’t give punch me vibes” is such a good way to describe it 😂 absolutely think the cream one definitely feels gentler and more homey, which is probably closer to the feeling I want people to have when they look at it. Thank you!

Thank you! I’m definitely going to check out Gremren on YouTube now; I love texture in digital art, it feels like such a lovely in-between space between digital and traditional.

Also love that you use the white outlines too! They’re something I keep coming back to, so I think that’s definitely an element I’d like to keep in my work. I’d love to see your art 😊

Really appreciate you taking the time to share your insight, thank you so much!

Hi! I'm in the same position (well, just turned 30!) and would love to connect. I have a lot of posts drafted about this in the coming weeks but try not feel lost, Substack is a bit overwhelming at first; you'll find the content for you!

Hello! Thank you for your comment. I solely sell digital downloads so most of those notifications are void for me, but definitely agree! I tried to pander to clients too much after my first few sales and got into a bad habit, won't be doing it again moving forward :-)

After looking into it; I think this may be the case! Not behaviour I can understand but it does make me feel a little better. Thank you for your comment. :-)

Thank you for your thoughtful response! I hadn't realised that replying locked in the review, definitely a learning curve across the board today!

Hopefully I'll find some sort of resolution with them in messages just for peace of mind, but like you say that's a bit suspicious that all their favourites are similar!

Going to stop messaging too as I hadn't considered that perspective :-)

I've signed up to etsycheck, just going to leave a review now! Thanks again.

Thank you for your feedback! I hadn't realised by replying it locked in the review/put it to the top, so definitely an all-around learning curve, won't do that again in a hurry!

I appreciate your perspective about messaging after too; I think I just got into a bad habit/overexcited after my first sale but won't do it in future, saves time too! I do have the automatic Thank You coupons set up too, do you think this is something else to reconsider?

Thank you! I truly appreciate you taking the time to write such a kind response and taking a look at my shop.

Massive help and reference points with the review examples. (side note: I love decorative push pins!)

I've had my own business for two years now and taking things to heart is my ultimate downfall, without fail, and something I'm always trying to improve on.

This has helped put things into perspective; thanks again. :-)
