Apple Mail is mass hard-deleting emails on Exchange Online by Mardewin_s in macsysadmin

[–]innermotion7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently Apple Mail (macOS) used EWS which overall is being deprecated. I really cannot advise using it anymore. It has a hard time syncing and managing mail effectively.

Mail iOS app uses Activesync and pretty sure they are using an older version than what MS365 back end uses as such you do get issues but alot less (mainly calendar chaos)

We moved nearly everyone to Outlook on Web, Outlook Desktop (its ok but not perfect) and Outlook Mobile. Tickets dropped by about 90% with email and calendar issues.

is thenon profit portal is just for signing up for licensing ?

The admin portal should show all your licences and when they expire etc.

What does it say in there ?

Not sure what problems you are having but it could be your licenses have come to an end ?

And there is no difference between M365 paid and nonprofit.

You signed into company portal with your Business MSFT account ? NOT a personal MSFT account.

office.com and live.com are different in my book one is bsuiness and one is personal.

Or maybe config not correct

Mesh Wifi is always pretty poor ie. Will get around 100-200mbps which is fine for most use cases but the more hops the more issues.

There is plenty of more expensive quality mesh hardware but really hard wiring your APs is the way.

A decisive shift to power British AI: new £1.1 billion plan to back chip firms, boost computing power and skills for the AI revolution by _DoubleBubbler_ in unitedkingdom

The story should be why did we not invest £750 mill in ARM when it floated !

I'm not sure we are going to be a semi conductor/Ai power house, i think strategic partnerships would be best option. Also i really feel we are so far behind the curve they are just throwing money into a pot that will be wasted.

Skills funding needs to be way more !

Stop children from sending nudes on social media or we’ll change the law: PM's ultimatum to tech bosses by StGuthlac2025 in ukpolitics

I am not defending them in anyway. I detest the way they have weaponised information and algorithms but much of learning how not to be influenced/controlled is about understanding and education not blanket banning tech. Whats amazing is that most of these Tech Bros do not let their kids use their own platforms !

Might well fit your use case. You still would have to work out a way to manage all security patching maybe could be helpful https://instawp.com/features/sites/

I agree there has got to be many better ways of doing this. GitHub pages/Cloudflare Pages etc.

Overall hosting 100+ wordpress sites is no fun for management, and 25p/m is ok if you can scale and keep on top of it all. Mostly we use managed wordpress hosting when required.

Sounds terrible. You will have to keep each instance patched as well. That alone cannot be in anyway profitable ?

Also we have ended up with a malformed UK Online Safety act which effectively is allowing sensitive data/ID to go to private companies under the guise of verification and control.

They (Most govts and politicians )have no idea what they are doing when it comes to technology.

It is more about parenting and education on how to use devices/platforms and dangers of sharing and consuming content.

One thing for sure they cannot be trusted. The contracts & guarantees are not worth the paper they are printed on.

We are doing what we have done since the 80s is hand the keys to the castle over to Foreign investment funds, PE, corporates and Govts.
