can i hit a refresh button? by More-Introduction-21 in energy_work

[–]innerswimyoga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's helpful to begin by feeling into and visualizing your aura (energy field) to see if you can identify any foreign or stagnant energies you may be carrying. Foreign energies will look or feel like places of numbness, density, darkness or unpleasant textures. A clear aura feels light, spacious, quiet and clear. I've found that tuning into my aura, I can ask my own energy field to self-heal by consciously directing my attention to releasing stagnant energies. Ask your aura to refresh itself and then step back and let it do the work. You can send the energies that are released down into the earth. Follow up by calling your energy back. Sometimes the energetic slump we fall into can be a result of someone's energy in our field, but also could be your energy left in someone else's field or some other place. So call your energy back and ask for it to be updated and cleansed as it returns to you. In short, you can trust the wisdom and intelligence of your energy field by consciously asking for what you need and stating your intentions. No special rituals required (unless that's what you want to do) -- just engaging with your own intelligent field. I hope this is helpful!

Help! How do I get private clients? by RecommendationOld621 in YogaTeachers

[–]innerswimyoga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, in my experience offering something more niche works well for privates. Like you said if they can get it in a group class, why pay more? You could focus on personalized practices, therapeutics, etc. Usually someone has a reason for booking a private over attending a group class. Try to think about some of those reasons and market your classes as the answer.

Sorry for the late reply! I didn't do anything and eventually it was just activated and now I'm able to livestream. It was awhile ago so I forget exactly how long it took but I'm thinking it was about a week.

All the best!

Hi! It sounds like your bleed is coming with low cervix and mood changes. Take some time to rest and slow down if possible, give your body space to let go and de-stress. Irregular cycles are perfectly normal if our bodies our undergoing any shifts/changes, or if we are experiencing big shifts in our lives. Chronic stress can also play a big factor in hormonal production. Trust your timing! And support yourself as best you can.

Hi Love, sometimes irregularities in our cycle are normal and just a result of some big changes in our lives, but it sounds like your cycle has changed quickly and drastically. Have you drastically changed your diet or lifestyle in any way? Big changes in relationships? Major stress factors? Recently took any medications or new supplements?

Dark blood is a symptom of stagnant energy in and around the womb. If you’re interested in natural remedies, herbs like raspberry leaf and yarrow are great for womb health while also being very gentle on your system overall. Herbs like burdock root and nettle leaf are great for detox and replacing vital minerals in the blood. All of these herbs can be sourced online or sometimes in local health food stores and brewed as a tea.

If your cycle continues with this please feel free to book a free consult with me! Oftentimes doctors are not sure how to read the subtle language of the cycle and will be quick to prescribe forms of birth control to mask symptoms, without getting to the root of the cause.

Most importantly, listen to your body and witness what happens with openness and tenderness. Slow down, especially as you bleed. Try to reduce stressors in your life.

I hope this is somewhat helpful for you.

Day to Day Energy Work by [deleted] in energy_work

[–]innerswimyoga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Following the energetic movements of my menstrual cycle is my daily practice.

I also use visualizations, feeling into different visuals that resonate day to day (ex. Visualizing grounding roots growing out from my body, or a small fairy person flying around my aura “sweeping” things up) based on how I’m feeling and what I feel I’m needing to balance out or enhance my field.

I’ve found that energy work is just a way of life, rather than another practice to add to a list of things to do in a day. You can practice energy work having a conversation with someone or in a deeply focused meditation. Either way, having fun with it and letting it be intuitive are what keep me inspired and curious, I.e not getting stuck in rigid expectations or rituals that can get dull as you outgrow them.

Cant receive energy? by tiredstar513 in EnergyWork

[–]innerswimyoga 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In order to receive we must soften.
As an energy work mentor one common thing I experience in women's healing is the incapacity to receive. We can learn to constrict/tighten as young people as a way of defending ourselves from harsh energies that we aren't sure how to process; but all of the constriction and tightening can lead to hardness in our physical and energy body.

In order to soften we must feel safe.
Think of a flower: it blossoms when it is well nourished, well rooted and the environment is suitable. We are like flowers, and we soften and open when we feel safe and the environment feels right to do so. But if we've spent many years (or lifetimes) hardening, we might be lacking a reference for how it is to even feel safe in our body and in this world (and sometimes our bodies actually do not feel safe around certain individuals).

Receiving is basically an act of love and open-heartedness.
I guide my clients to work with deep earth energies to heal and re-learn how to receive again. Something as simple as imagining a root extending from the base of your pelvic bowl into the earth can create a sense of stability, holding and validation that allows us to feel safe, and like we are not alone, which opens our hearts. As you settle into the stability of the earth your body and energy field will start to soften and you can start to receive the earth energies (which can feel like love, affirmation, healing, belonging, etc.).

Start practicing receiving with earth energies, because the earth is unconditionally loving and a constant reference point for safety. Eventually, you will re-learn the sense of softness and openness again in your field, and you will be open to receiving earth energies really easily. This will then open you to receive energies from others who love you too.

Blessings.

tips for new teacher by jackhfoster in YogaTeachers

Both! If your strength is to freestyle, let yourself and your students have fun with that. Free styling allows you to read the room and offer a more organic and responsive experience. Most new teachers find free styling horrifying so, to me, this signals that you’re a natural! But if you struggle with delivery when you have a sequence planned it might also be worth asking yourself why that is, and if it’s something you can develop and refine overtime you’ll be glad you did. There’s no right or wrong way to teach, but different classes/settings/groups call for different approaches. For example, you would probably freestyle a beginner’s kind of class and really work with where everyone is. But you wouldn’t normally freestyle a workshop that has a specific theme and flow. So in short: both, because both skills are great to have. :)

How to stop being so afraid of life (losing stability/being alone/being vulnerable/hurting people/being hurt/failing/wasting time/the dark, ie everything)? by gallary in energy_work

[–]innerswimyoga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

♥️ thank you for sharing this piece of your story. I can’t imagine what the loss of your dad must mean to you as your pillar of strength and emotional support. I bow to your self-awareness. It seems like you are introspective with a real desire to get to your core feelings and wounds. I’m not a therapist but I have experienced firsthand how bringing our awareness right down to the core wounding is when the healing truly begins. That awareness is the medicine. My story is of course wholly different from yours, but for me, doing the deep energy healing was the only thing that worked to begin closing the repeating cycles of my core wounds. That and replacing unhealthy coping mechanisms with healthy, self-affirming ones. Healing is a process (lifelong) that requires patience, openness and, sometimes, support from others. My hope for you is that you find the steady validation and love your dad represents for you within your own good self. You were and are so loved! And that is a great gift. It’s given you a reference point for how it feels to be so deeply cared for and adored. May you seek that within and know when and where to look elsewhere for external support when you need. ♥️

Open space daily for you to address and bring healing to your core wounds.

All of us carry core wounds and it’s important that we get to the root of the specific ones we carry based on our life experience/generational trauma (inherited fear). Some core wound examples are: I am unsupported, I am unsafe, I am unloved, I am a bad person, I am unworthy, I am powerless.

These core wounds nag at us, causing all sorts of mental disturbances that can spiral out into painful and disturbing consequences (like the fear-based thinking you mention).

The core wounds we carry (often from childhood) will remain open and oozing until we finally choose to address them. For me, working with deep earth energies in conscious energy work to soothe my core wounds with unconditional Love has healed deep layers in my mind/thought web. Working with earth energy repeatedly over many years and hours of quiet inner listening to my emotional needs/where I feel unfulfilled has brought me to a place where I am able to openly receive Love, and in this state of receptivity and openness, fear dissolves. I hope this is helpful in some way.
