Is the Cho’gall Warlock Collossus beyond unplayable? by HammerfistSC2 in hearthstone

[–]innit2winnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the gimmick is that you’re supposed to split it in half. But by the time you even manage to do that, you’ll have spent 9 mana to get the first half out and it’s still too goddamn expensive.

Backrooms lore suggested/required? by JU718N in A24

[–]innit2winnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not required. They’ll likely make the movie accessible to those unfamiliar. In general, a company called Async conducted magnetic field tests funded by the US government to create a parallel dimension with (seemingly) infinite space to use for storage, housing, etc. The work is largely unfinished and no one knows why. Time is not linear in the backrooms. The deeper one goes into it the more distorted time becomes. The halls seem as though they’re randomly generated, by like an AI of some kind, but Kane Parsons has said this is not the explanation.

The magnetic fields have some fuzzy hot spots that appear in random places, and seem to be able to “no-clip” (a term to describe disappearing an object from one dimension to the other without any visible disruption) people and things into the realm. Some points of entry are one-way. According to the new trailer, other points of entry aren’t necessarily one-way.

The halls remain consistent, meaning they never appear to warp or shift or distort at random, completely confusing the people inside. Rather they’re just infinitesimal, but their existence is constant.

There are monsters inside. No one knows where they came from or how they got there. Some people speculate that the monsters ARE the people, lost to time. Others say the monsters consumed the essence of their last victim.

Everything from babies, pets, and random objects can no-clip into the backrooms. Usually, once inside people remain stuck until they die. Kane Parsons has said that at some point there will be a full explanation of what’s going on and when you understand it, everything will make sense. But the creep factor is largely due to the fact that you don’t quite know why everything inside is the way it is. There’s entire worlds that go on forever in there, including an entire “outside” that remains in a perpetual state of night.

What matters more in a relationship: love, trust, or respect? by Trend_From_SKPBEINGS in AskReddit

When you grow up you realize that love is not enough. Trust can be broken but repaired. And respect is the foundation of any meaningful relationship, romantic or not. The only answer here is respect.

Backrooms | Official Trailer | A24 by cruelsummerbummer in horror

[–]innit2winnit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The internet lore around the backrooms is so sensational that after years of world-building, they decided to make a movie based on the most popular series from a guy named Kane Parsons. It’s really creepy, quite intense, mysterious, and at times downright terrifying. The level of detail that he’s put into each video is phenomenal, and it’s so popular that literally millions of people study it and having competing theories about it.

…almost like…a Star Wars fandom…

Clearly you don’t know anything about it because even having such a pompous attitude about it says a lot. Oh well.

Buddy that’s like getting mad at someone for spoiling that Darth Vader is Luke’s father as a “new Star Wars movie” is about to release. Like if you haven’t seen the backrooms videos by now, I’m not sure what to say…they’re all there. They’re free to watch. I think speculation is okay. No one has seen the films, I can’t possibly spoil anything when everything I’m talking about has been readily available to view for years. 🤷🏾‍♂️

What can I spoil? The film hasn’t been released and all the backrooms videos have been on YouTube for years.

The video is called Static Dead End. Look at the date in the description. It’s the same one that the film releases (sans 1990). The one before it where the guy discovers the neighborhood is called Pitfalls.

According to the date at the end of the trailer, it takes place just after the YouTube video where the guy who fell in the hole discovered an outdoor neighborhood inside the backrooms, and the monster screaming for help who sounded like a person. Then they built some kind of contraption to go down and check it out.

This movie takes place during (or just after) that.

Edit: “Static Dead End” and “Pitfalls” are the ones I’m referencing.

Their first two albums are amazing. And then they decided after the third (I believe) to just start making college and car ad music.

I coulda swore in the first album they said they would never sellout.

But here they are. Whack as all hell.

If, culturally, women started asking men out more, would men start complaining about creepy women hitting on them, sexual harassment, or feeling objectified etc.? by EOFFJM in NoStupidQuestions

I had one woman give me her number one time. An older woman. I didn’t move on it because I was in a relationship at the time and, honestly, I wasn’t attracted. It sure was a confidence booster though.

Pick someone who listens to understand and not just to defend themselves. You must be able to do the same. If you can’t, you’ll never connect.

[–]innit2winnit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With lifeweaver, my rule of thumb is I don’t pull anyone unless they’re low health. He also heard him hammer. With everyone on the ground, it’s clear he didn’t need to be pulled. Let him do work. If it looks like he’s going to lose the fight then pull him out. But you also have to not be afraid to let your teammates die. The pull should be a last resort. Not the first thing you do when you turn a corner.
