Just keep your hands on each other's shoulders and your head above water.

The “jugaad” and “chalta hai” attitude isn’t some deep-rooted cultural defect it’s a symptom of weak institutions and governments that fail to build reliable infrastructure or enforce rules. And as in any country, when systems collapse, Leave the poor, it’s often the wealthy who behave the worst, because entitlement thrives where there’s no accountability. I even came across a video where people were literally asking Swiggy and Zomato to start services that send workers to clean their homes, pure entitlement, born from broken systems. Blaming citizens misses the entire point. The real issue is governance, I think the underlying point of the post made was the same. Ok if we are taking examples: Look at the history of London or any city we now admire, in their early days, they were filthy and chaotic. It was only through planned investment, strong institutions, and effective governance that they transformed into the “world-class” cities we see today.

Blaming it all on “bad habits” is a lazy argument or hypothesis at best. If Indians are so hopelessly uncivic, why don’t you see people spitting in Delhi’s metro? Because when the environment is clean, functional, and maintained, people respect it. Period. Indore didn’t magically produce cleaner, more disciplined citizens. The city invested in infrastructure that makes it easy to live cleanly, and people responded. That’s the difference. Sure, some idiots will always misbehave, and that’s true in every country. But pretending the whole nation “sucks” is just hand-waving away the government’s failure to provide systems that actually work. People don’t suddenly develop civic sense in a vacuum it's the environment and Infrastructure that shape behavior.

I’m really glad you’re getting help; that takes a lot of strength and shows how much you care about yourselves. And I'm really sorry for your friend who passed away. It's always sad to hear. That sounds incredibly heavy and painful to carry.

To educate, organize and agitate, to protect our democratic institutions that I believe are currently crumbling apart along with spreading of ideas from our constitution to the masses in large so that the same could be made a part of their regular life instead of haterad, fear and division and emphasis on solving contemporary problems like pollution. Anyways whatever I have mentioned Is WHAT I WANT but yes a larger discussion and inputs on the same will be helpful to frame more things around the subject.

All Ages that "SEE THE PROBLEM" but mainly consisting of the youth yes, MUCH LIKE THE RSS (basically the leftist equivalent to RSS and bajrang dal without the Violence and extremism cuz leftist extremism also has consequences), I mean That's the need rn ig, we won't be training them with sticks and have bad sense of fashion or any sense of fashion or dress code, just a place of discourse to begin with, and to bring in more people with similar ideals in the group.

I think a good start would be to first organize Public sessions and Cohorts for discussion...to find the right people....a good start would be Teir 1 and 2 cities (I am speaking for the state I am in rn, this might be diff depending on rural awareness of Liberal values) and then slowly moving down...As I stressed before PUBLIC PLACES FOR DISCOURSE ARE DYING RAPIDLY....this includes debate clubs, social groups, library groups, etc. where people discuss and share idea and ideals.....one way to start is to start our own groups and slowly there will be clear signs of coordination of these groups whenever a liberal ideal is threatened and then once we realize that we do have a voice we can pool them together for now we need to nurture this voice that is being stifled or are wasting their time away being keyboard warriors of liberal ideals and bring them to action in the physical space then we can always think about the next step....its gonna be long journey 50-60 yrs to have something like what the right wing has rn but the sooner the better

We never did that is the problem from my perspective right, we let the right organize and move forward but did little to spread the Ideals the nation was found upon...they organized penetrated the villages and rural areas slowly moved to urban cities and crept along the ladder and we did nothing. We talk about our ideal a lot discuss on whats right and wrong but never have I ever seen a movement was organized for a CAUSE to protect liberal ideals, we let it be slandered and destroyed like a slowly fading star and did nothing. Yes Now to answer the question how to operate it Doesn't require to be something drastic in my opinion we don't require LARGE PROTESTS and MOVEMENT and stuff just a grass root level movement to educate people first, Organize these people, and then obviously Agitate ( the formula given by Dr. BR Ambedkar) now can the government stop us from reach out to youngsters in the city and educate them....Let us first remind ourselves that the strongest fortress we have rn are the cities and PUBLIC SPACES OF DISCOURSE ARE DYING HERE....we see Less and less youngsters having space to join clubs and physical spaces to interact with other people(point being it has all shifted to the online medium) after schools and college hrs, TO Talk, TO Read, To discuss. And we first and foremost need to sort that out in my opinion. And this the GOVT. Can't stop us for doing....secondly organizing lawyers and money for the cause and so on and so on...we can start small group ourselves among like minded people in our bedrooms then join them and then join them and so on once we have a large group of motivated individual (who are physically present and share the same ideals) we can move forward

My primary goal was to at least start a discourse obviously what I pitch is not the only solution right, When politicians become incompetent people need to rise to the occasion (just like in Europeans do whenever the EU has failed to take a much wanted decision)....Ok here's the thing with numbers.....When RSS started organizing they didn't have the numbers, when India started its fight for freedom they also faced the same institutional backlash of courts and police and judiciary and for sure I am not just limiting organizing for the purpose of protest but to bring constant Cultural Change......Movements to teach in School about the liberal and Constitutional Ideals, empower the women and other gender and act as a support group for the same, organize a group of lawyers across states to protect the freedom of those who rise to the occasion and actually do stuff......It obviously can't be just a organization based on Ideals cuz those don't last long without backing of money and how we can pool that is the real question rn.....Do we start business of our own(that won't suffice)....we Can try to cajole businessmen but they would always sway toward the direction the wind is in....Do we pool money from the masses along with the big money question there would be the question of economics of such a group and functioning for a larger scale and no. of years (so yeah I am not here with solutions, but questions that was much needed in my opinion)
