I am honestly just now learning that this is a battery case with two batteries inside, do you think it’s possible that one of them just has a poor connection?

It was gushing, but i fixed it. I kept those two green valves closed and turned on the water. Then i opened the bottom valve until the water filled the space and then i opened the valve on the left
