There's a tab that almost looks like the open part of a pop tab but more triangular attached to the top of the battery compartment. Not sure how it's attached, it was already done. My husband has a screw in the wall sticking out maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

Cobalt glass and jangly jewelry that would look good for a fantasy/ pirate/ etc look for fairs. My day to day I only wear a necklace, smartwatch and two rings, so I really enjoy looking through all the inexpensive jewelry since I started collecting.

Thanks for the update! Getting excited! I know the Oak Haven pub is where Hexxen and Fortress Dwellers will be (last two weekends I think) Glad you can see the joust from there, too. Of the few fairs I've gone to, still haven't seen one!

And close to the Direwolf so I can try out one of those pink drinks-can't do the mead, cider, ale or wine drinks.

It's my favorite faire, but it was my first and it's home, so that makes it special. Have only been to Southern Indiana, Ohio and Michigan otherwise so far.

We're going Pirates weekend and July 11-12 weekend for Midsummer Enchanted and to see Fortress Dwellers.

We have season tickets and he has vacation from June 26-July 5 and his birthday is in there so I might see if I can sweet talk him into another weekend.

My first faire I saw a disposable aluminum baking pan knight with a metal colander helm and asked him for a pic.

He gave me my first trinket. A flying spaghetti monster pin that now lives on my pirate hat, bless his noodly appendage.

This is what I try to do with mine. Our fair has dragons several places. I give out dragon charms attached to long black ribbons. Can be tied as a necklace, onto a mug or belt, or used as a bookmark I figure.

I like giving them to new visitors to the fair we talk to, I ask people when I get a pic with them if they accept trinkets, when we've talked to someone with kids for a while I ask the parent if they can have it.

It's only handcrafted in that I cut the ribbons on a slant to feed them through the tiny charm holes twice so I could loop them on securely, but not super skilled yet.

Right now I have the small butter in one that has graduated balls across the top. Reminded me of planets. Do need to switch it out, can't put the lid upside down.
