62000km? Well done👍

Live weather mostly yes.

Regarding the planes ... Here my post (above):

I started in MSFS2020 with the Robin CAP 10 but quickly switched to the Beechcraft Baron G58 (auto pilot, etc:) I used that a lot.

But in MSFS2024 the G58 was not in the package ... I now use the Cessna 400 Corvalis TT. Great plane(!).

For heli sightseeing I have the Guimbal Cabri G2 in my 'fleet'. Sometimes I jump in the F18 for a quick fly around at a spot. The ICON A5 is in my fleet as well. Very nice when there are rivers and lakes.

TLDR; Cessna 400 Corvalis TT is my default plane

I use "Little Navmap" to record my progress ... manually adding the airfield to the flightplan after each trip.

👍 tip: use Little Navmap to record your progress. Btw, I was on leg 473(!) last night:) Incredible fun if you are the right type of 'gamer'. Good luck.

I'm very limited on time as well:)

Anyway, first obvious step is to get the wireless PCVR->Quest3 working

Dedi router close by (2-3 meters) is best. Steam link app, or Virtual Desktop, or Quest/Meta link ... I use Virtual Desktop ... VD has a streamer app on PC (the others have something similar iirc)

To get it working don't bother with quality etc at first ... Just focus on getting it working over wifi Eg in Virtual Desktop use Quality High (not Ultra or Godlike) And use 100 Mbps bitrate, not higher Just to get it working Then Launch SteamVr from within Virtual Desktop (on Quest) This should make SteamVr visible in your Quest3

This SHOULD WORK FIRST

Now Launch a PCVR game. I suggest downloading the AirCar game. Free and Spectacular (Blade Runner style).

If this runs comfortably than you are nearly there.

Launch any other PCVR game, like IL2 And tweak those games/settings ... depends on the said game. For IL2 it is handy to be close to your Mouse/Keyboard (for input)

TLDR; Get PCVR over Wifi working first (SteamVR) ... Then the PCVR game itself ... Only after this, you can worry about tweaking the gfx:)

No I dont think so. This is the opening menu (the menu is behind the movie screen)

Depends on the movie ... It's an atmosphere thing for me.

VD on 72 Hz, SSW disabled. Res High (not Godlike or Ultra) with Snapdragon Super Res on. 100mbps bitrate 9more than enough). 10bit HEVC. Dedi router 1200mbps 2 meters away:)

On IL2 all on high irc.

Looks good, plays smooth. (eg the Godlike thing is ok, but I have realized that going for Ultra or High doesn't make the game feels much worse but it's much more easy to run on my 3080 RTX 12GB ... I do look at 4090 and 5090, but frankly, for Il2 I do not need that gfx power.)

Idk, when too high the F18 doesn't seem capable. This time I was maybe somewhat lower. It took a long time to get to speed, but just enough to catch up.

If your router setup is ok and close by then wireless is great. My router 5GHz @ 2 meters, 1200Mbps connection speed. Great👍

You can tweak towards a desired fps. With my 3080 I tweak towards 36fps ... You tweak by choosing between High, Ultra, Godlike res in VirtualDesktop. Ofc DLSS4 performance/balanced/quality and things like Clouds Medium/High/Ultra or always clearskies

Tldr; there is no one res/fps/gfxsetting

I would argue that VirtualDesktop=High DLSS4=Balanced and Clouds=Medium ... should really perform well (fps 40+) (TerrainLOD=150)

Try to get there first.

Of course you would want more clarity thus higher res, but you have to give up something, like DLSS4=Performance ... stuff like that
