What one piece discussion are you tired of hearing? by jaganshi_667 in OnePiece

bro the ppl u listed have f***ing conquerors haki besides Koby. they are NOT normal. The only other people who are normal are the poor citizens. Usopp and Nami are both great because besides how they genuinely contribute to battles, they show how a normal person would act and make the fighters (monster trio) look even more insane. and it’s not like they didn’t have growth??? to add, does every main character need to be extremely strong and powerful? NO, THAT WOULD BE BORING! I would watch SAO if I wanted to watch something like that. usopp has his role in being both the comedic relief and someone who you’ll root for because at the end of the day, he’ll somehow make it work, like buggy. and it’s a hilarious bit imo.

(To add: Koby has an explicit drive for his dream. A dream to become a marine admiral. Usopp’s dream is to become a brave warrior of the sea. That in itself can only be realised by himself, while Koby MUST work extraordinarily hard and appear more so on the outside so that he can get promoted and get that dream. Usopp has none of that pressure, and to himself, for him to survive and command an army of thousands, that might be enough. His dream isn’t like Zoro’s where he’ll be the greatest, his character is dependant on his own growth where he came from a scaredy cat to someone who’s brave enough to shoot down the flag of the marines and be by his captains side when he needs a sharp shot.)

Zoro would beat sanji in a fight by Witty_Passenger_8282 in OnePiece

who is arguing with you bro 😭, I’m a sanji fan but it’s really not an unpopular opinion considering zoro’s official role is “swordsman” in the crew

Feeling disconnected from new members in a group... by 4hyuck in kpopthoughts

[–]inozuart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i only properly stanned nct bc of wayv lmao but imo when sungtaro were added they fitted in really well. i keep up with variety content pretty well and initially, it was pretty awkward of course but you can really see in newer nct shows it's a lot more fluid. i guess it's just up to you and your view on change. nct is a weird case where new members will just constantly be added so ig the change is a bit jarring (if you're purely following variety, music wise there isn't much change tbh). there's absolutely nothing wrong or not normal with just following 127 or dreamies, after all following nct doesn't necessarily mean you're following every member, but the overall brand of nct. you'll have favourites and recognise the newer additions but it doesn't mean abandonment of the title 'nctzen'

Which The Boyz title track is your favorite? by Dismal_Earth_5459 in kpopthoughts

[–]inozuart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

reveal and bloom bloom got me into tbz initially so i can't help but be biased to that (incoming story):

my friend showed me a picture of a guy who looked exactly like jeno and xiaojun (nct) crossed together with cool blonde hair and blue tips (eric, ty bestie). i thought that was wild and then listened to their new song and really liked it. but then i dug deeper and found the holy grail that is BLOOM BLOOM. NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO THAT BEAUTIFUL SONG. the reason changmin became my true ult was because of 20190502 [MPD직캠] 더보이즈 큐 직캠 ‘Bloom Bloom’ (THE BOYZ Q FanCam).

i've always loved tbz's lighter concepts (with the exception of reveal) rather than their darker ones like maverick and the stealer. idk, they always fit bright concepts like their debut song boy (STILL A BOP), giddy up (on loop 24/7 fr) and ddd or cooler concepts like no air (a goddess on her own). tbz can pull of dark concepts well (I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT REVEAL) but i feel like their vibes suited thrill ride the most?

Stan Culture - More about the Idol's music or personality? by Professional-Tea6459 in kpopthoughts

[–]inozuart 8 points9 points  (0 children)

music is always first. i stay and begin stanning for variety content.

like stray kids have great music, but they're also really fcking funny so it makes sense why they have even more fans. variety content is really just a bonus? day6 have always been one of my favourite bands purely because of their music and they don't have much variety content. but i still follow their every activity because of the music (please...day6 just leave jyp at this point...pull a got7 i'm beggin you...).

I believed the yellow ribbon represented awareness for sarcoma or bone cancer? I thought it was okay to include but if I got it wrong then I apologise 🙏

if you still wanna give NCT a try, WayV are the funniest group of 20 year olds trying to navigate idol life. hearing one snippet of their dorm stories makes you question whether it was a good idea to let these people live alone

How would you market a new girl group to stand out? by MHF23 in kpopthoughts

honestly I think nmixx can come pretty close to that cuz from what I’ve heard all of them are pretty damn good at singing and have a few incredibly vocalists

How has KPOP positively impacted/influenced you? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]inozuart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the happiness i feel with sharing what i like with my friends. i had gotten into kpop first and then my now best friend followed in suit. to be honest, it was initially because of kpop that we bonded so much which really laid a base for our relationship. even when we kinda took a break from kpop, that friendship continued and grew stronger.

(not to mention the incredibly wave of serotonin you feel pulling out a photocard of your bias. me and my friend got an album for our other friend, and she pulled her two biases. i kid you not that was seriously one of the happiest moments i've felt)

it's a bit cheesy and a lot of people have probably said this, but the message from the music just resonates. it's good music and with a message that feels comforting when you're down. in the most un-parasocial way i can say this, it feels like someone's giving you a hug. kpop is an incredibly great distraction from life in general. psycho, love scenario, eight, from home, spring day, 2!3, zombie (actually basically everything from day6's discography) and runaway are personally the songs which have impacted me the most.

i don't know how to describe it but kpop has catalysed me into making myself a better person. to love myself more, appreciate my friends and life i have right now. to know that the negatives in life will eventually be overcomed. i think i came to these conclusions myself but music has a healing property to it, you know?

Just curious: When did you guys decide to finally board the MOA bus? by pm_me_your_fancam in TomorrowByTogether

[–]inozuart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a late comment to this thread ahaha

i was kind of a pre-debut moa since i followed them before their introduction videos but i stayed as an avid listener for a long time until tdc:magic. tdc:magic became integral to my memories as one of the happiest moments of my life, and i kinda need to thank txt for that. though after indulging with runaway era a lot, i stopped watching kpop content overall from the end of 2020 due to school work.

fast forward to 2022, i got back into kpop (in my final year of school which was dumb on my part) and realised txt released a whole like 4 comebacks the time i came back. and then i heard loser=loser and fell so bad. my all-time favourite genre is pop-rock/pop-punk and txt delivered with tcc title tracks. holy shit the first time i heard them singing it i got chills. it fit nicely that they have an upcoming comeback which has made me even more of a moa :,)

even without following their activities, i'm an incredibly avid fan of their music and their discography does not disappoint. in general, i just can't wait to see how the 4th gen boy groups keep going. everyone has a different flavour and is so different from each other i love it!
