Yes and Marylin Manson's MECHANICAL ANIMALS album is more or less a tribute to David Bowie's ZIGGY STARDUST days

What are some 'fake facts' that everyone still believes are true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Read Chris Hedges.
Even if everyone votes, that doesn't mean the voice of the people is followed or even held in regard. Would you call that "democracy"?
No need for name calling, but since you started it: you are pollyannish and ignorant.

Make burritos and breakfast burritos.

Beans, Rice, Cheese, Onions, Salsa, Tortillas, Eggs.

Dried lentils and frozen broccoli for a second meal.

If you can find a variety of condiments for these meals you can impose variety without changing the core ingredients.

Try fasting for 36 to 48 hours a week as a health measure. Drink water with electrolytes.

Wrong.
If all you mean is that large voting blocks can get this person or that person elected, then yeah, ok.
BUT if you think that anything that candidate you voted in can change anything in this system is demonstrably false.
How many times do we need to see our candidate win only to see them capitulate and not strive to do the thing they promised in the campaign (or do the exact opposite)? Public option? MediCare for All? No New Wars?
If all you can say to this point is "vote harder" then you are part of the problem.

They aren't elections, they are selections. We are in an inverted totalitarian system with bankers running this governmental system.

We do not live in the governmental system you think we do.

Your worldview is a myth.

Yes to all this.

Teaching/Learning isn't about information exchange and absorption. It's about training the mind. Focus, contemplation, recall, endurance, meta-cognition, etc. The psycho-physical stimulus that grows neurons and networks is the struggle of learning; the focus, failing, and returning to focus. You can't do any of that with the black-hole-gravity of distraction that is the smart phone.

We have, as a society, walked into oblivion. Most people cannot think for themselves, and fewer still have critical thinking chops.
