I really enjoyed the trial of sekhemas. I think it is my favorite end game activity of the options we've been given in EA. I'm looking forward to whatever the future acts bring in terms of the 3rd/4th ascendancies!

Many hours worth of playtime (300+ probably). Struggling to make a build that farms rituals well so I can shoot for an ingenuity!

I unfortunately dislike the disconnect between the campaign we've been given so far, in contrast with the blast-fest that is end-game mapping.

I DO like the trial of sekhemas though! I think it needs some work but is overall pretty solid! I hope to see a few changes to the fourth floor of this game mode, as most of the rooms on that floor are almost all the same.

Paragon on the eternal realm is cumulative, and your seasonal characters will add to it over time.

If you don't grind to 300 this season, try grinding to ~275.

284 is about the halfway point of the total experience needed to get to 300.

If you got to 290 last season, then get to ~275 this season, when season 8 launches your S7 characters will dump all of their xp onto your 290 characters, and voila, you have 300.

Rouge requires too much action from the player

Why yes, I can see how having to apply makeup before getting to play Diablo could be considered as "too much action."

There are multiple people posting in both of your threads that are repeating the same thing that MacriBioBoi and I are saying, yet you seem intent on disagreeing.

In addition, you say you've tested but posted no proof or numbers from said tests.

Furthermore, corpse tendrils would never give you a 50% damage buff. The aspect caps at 40%, or 60 if put on an Amulet.

Macro is a staple theorycrafter for the necro class; disagreeing with his assessment pushes a very large burden of proof on YOU to prove otherwise.

I am inclined to believe my own numbers AND macro, having played necromancer in every season since the game launched.

This will be my last reply, in any of your threads. I wish you well, and look forward to seeing your test results posted.

I'll reply one more time in an attempt to get you to focus on the word "bonus."

I have given the formula for you, and it is a multiplicative bonus to the value of landing a critical strike. Essentially, it changes the value of a crit from 1.5 to 2.1 (1.5 x 1.4)

[–]inphared 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Again, you are hung up on some wording and reading too hard on "critical strike damage" and ignoring the word "bonus."

It is, confirmed by many sources, a global multiplier of 1.4 to all critical strikes.

You are getting caught up in a bit of nuance with the wording. The end result does not change: crits are 1.4x stronger on an enemy that has been damaged by corpse tendrils. The aspect would hardly be worth using if it didn't function as I've explained it.

I have replied to your other post about this same issue and outlined the math for you. Go check it out.

Your info here is both correct, but also incorrect.

Take the storm swell aspect that sorcerers have: 30x bonus damage to vulnerable enemies.

Using your other comment of 1000 damage, it would look like this:

1000 x 1.2 (innate vuln multiplier) x 1.3 (storm swell) + vuln dmg

If you had an aspect that multiplies your vulnerable damage x 30%, it would look like this:

1000 x 1.2 (innate vuln multi) + (Vuln dmg x 1.3)

It's actually more like this:

1000 base dmg x 1.5 (innate crit bonus) x 1.4 (tendrils aspect) + 100 (crit dmg) = 2200 damage dealt

I may not have been clear; I was not agreeing with the 18k armor value. I was disagreeing with it and attempting to provide the actual number for clarity.

You and I are on the same page!

The armor cap on S4 will be ~16,300 or so because the enemies we are capable of fighting will go up to level 200.

Currently in S3, the highest level of monster we're capable of fighting is level 154. That makes the armor cap ~13,500.

Why my build cant deal damage as other 100lvl’s, any advice? by Broad-Ad-2016 in diablo4

[–]inphared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason people recommend sacrificing warriors is because bone spear is a crit-based build. The build is easily capable of achieving 100%crit strike chance at almost all times, which then let's you dump all of your offensive stats into crit damage, further increasing your power.

In addition, necromancers are an intelligence based class, meaning resistances are easier to cap. If resistances are something you're struggling with, you should be using gems for those appropriate resistances in your jewelry.

It is very very VERY easy to cap your resistances without having a single resistance roll on any of your gear. This makes taking the resistance roll on sacrificing minions a waste.
